"I'm gonna miss you, Psyduck," Yolei said as she placed the ducky Pokemon on the
counter of Oldman's Rental Center. "You really came through for me, despite
losing in the previous round."
"Psy psy," Psyduck said sadly.
"Oh, and I got you a present," Yolei added, handing over a slurpee which the
Psyduck happily took and began drinking. "Now don't drink it too fast unless
you plan on hurting someone."
"Psy?" Psyduck replied, not getting the joke.
"I believe you also rented a Chinchou," Oldman said.
"Oh, yeah," Yolei said, producing a PokeBall. "I almost forgot. I didn't get
to use this guy at all. So much for wishful thinking. I bet he was real weak,
though, but with my luck he was probably level 100."
"Do you want to know the level?" Oldman asked.
Yolei pondered the question for a second before replying, "Nah, it's probably
better I don't know."
"So you gave back the Pokemon, eh?" Lynkeru noted outside the Rental Center.
"Yep," Yolei answered. "I better start training my other Pokemon now. I need
to make up for lost time from ... Rink! Oh, no!"

"I left Rink at the Stadium!" Yolei exclaimed. "I forgot all about him after
Aerie started getting sucked into my PokeBall! I have to find him!"
"Wait up!" Lynkeru called out, chasing her friend.
It would be an hour before the Semi-Final matches began. Yolei convinced the
guard to let her and Lynkeru to search the Stadium. They searched high and low,
even checking the bottom of the pool, but Rink was no where to be found.
"Where could he be!?" Yolei hysterically exclaimed. "The poor thing must've
wandered off after the match and spent all night on the cold streets looking for
me!"
Yolei immediately imagined Rink waddling down the lamp-lit streets, getting
splashed by cars as they drove inconsiderately through puddles, and calling out
his species name in a pathetic attempt to find her.
"I have to find him!" Yolei cried before dashing out of the Stadium.
"Wait!" Lynkeru called out. Yolei had already narrowly avoided being run over
by a truck and had proceeded to sprint halfway down the street.
"How can such a scrawny girl run so fast?" Indi remarked.
"I haven't told her that she's in danger yet!" Lynkeru exclaimed. "If Trent
finds her before we do and if he thinks she still has the Unown..."
"Well, don't just stand there explaining it to the readers!" Indi interrupted.
"Get out there and catch her already!"
To be continued...?
