It did not take long for Aerie to hop off the rooftop corner she had observed the battle from, bouncing off the truck's front tire to use her momentum to tip the truck upright. She landed next to Ashura as he pulled Trent clear. "Sandslash!" "No problem." Aerie concentrated, pulling a large egg out of herself, and looked at Trent. "Hmm. Normally, you feed this. This will be tricky." Some more concentration, and the previous contents of Trent's stomach were soon teleported onto the road, replaced by the egg. Which internal pressure woke Trent in a hurry. He looked at Ashura, looked at Aerie, held his stomach, and burped long and hard. "You okay?" "Nothing I can't handle," Trent replied, still holding his stomach and sitting down. "I guess we're even." "Hmm?" "Who do you think shot that pokeball?" "Oh. Right, thanks." "Well, you said even if I failed, it'd tell you what you needed to know about that crew. So I guess my job is done." Aerie blinked, then smiled. "Err...oh, right, of course you were working for me. How silly of me to forget!" Trent looked at Aerie, shrugged, stood up, and started walking away. "Whatever. C'mon, Ashura." "Bye!" Aerie blinked away. "Slash?" "Of course that wasn't her. Looks like our boss has competition." Meanwhile, 'Aerie' shifted back into Mimic. As he made his way back to Xerox, trying to think up some excuse for his abrupt absence, he mulled over the fact that Aerie - or the unown inside her - had gone to the lengths of hiring Trent to do the dirty work. This had the potential to get ugly. [Already been continued: see the Semi-Final matches.]
