Yolei was suddenly interrupted by the beeping of her PokeGear. "What's that?" Bob asked. "I never heard a PokeGear make that sound before." "That's, uh..." Yolei had to think of something fast. "That's a custom ringtone. I programmed it myself. I... better take this, excuse me." With that, Yolei ducked out of the Preparation Area, returning a second later to retrieve Rink and Psyduck. Hiding around a corner where she could still see Bob from, Yolei took out her PokeGear and switched it to the Shiny Unown Radar function. She looked at the display a moment, then looked at Bob, then back to the display. "He's the one with all those Unown?" she inquired to herself. After closer inspection, it appeared that the radar only detected one Unown on Bob (he still has one, right?). Zooming out the display, she found that the large group of Unown she detected yesterday appeared to be off-shore in the harbor if her sense of direction was accurate. She decided to call Yuki again and switched to the cell-phone function. "Yuki? It's Yolei. Did I wake you? ... Yeah, sorry. Look, I found out that one of the trainers in the Whirl Cup has a Shiny Unown on him. ... He's the one with the greenish skin and the Mantine, I think his name is Bob Riser or something. Also, I detected a large group in the harbor. ... No, I'll check out the harbor. I need to get some training in, anyway. We can investigate this Riser guy later. ... Okay, bye." Yolei hung up, recalled her two Pokemon, and jogged out of the building. Moments later, she was at the harbor trying in vain to find the Shiney Unown signal she detected but was able to get her Pokemon some excercise nonetheless with the wild Pokemon she found there.
