Last time... Last time... I can't remember what happened last time. Something
about meeting Aerie and stuff...
Oh wait...
Ghastly, who had been following Splash attempting to "play" with him again,
finally caught up with the young man who had been free of his hypnosis for
quite some time. Splash, meanwhile, now free from Ghastly's spell, was back to
being his old boring self, with no memory of his time under the spell. And for
some reason, the cops are chasing him wherever he goes...
----------
"Ugh..." Splash rolled over and promptly hit the floor with a thud. Pulling
himself up with his right hand and rubbing his throbbing head with his left, he
looked around the small dingy room and tried to figure out where he was.
Oh yeah... he had gotten a back room in one of the local shops, a shady place
that didn't like the cops meddling in their buissness. Normally he'd never have
set foot in a place like this, but these days...
Sitting back down on the flimsy cot he had spent the night on, he tried to
figure out what to do next.
On a crate next to him, out of his view, lay two pokeballs, containing the two
pokemon he currently possessed. If one were looking at the two, one might think
that the pokemon inside were dormant, frozen in a stasis awaiting the time when
they would next be called out.
But that would be a mistake. The shiny Em Unown within one of them was actively
straining its power in order to achieve its goal.
Again cursing his own already weakened powers, made even weaker by the barrier
within the pokeball, Annon focused all of his mental powers to project onto
Splash a single thought.
Of course, it did take longer to acheive the desird results without his powers
being amplified by the presence of another shiny Unown, or even another generic
psychic pokemon, but the end result would be the same. His will WOULD be
achieved.
That was partly why Annon had chosen Splash in the first place. He had a weak
will, easily manipulated. The Ghastly before him had taken advantage of that
fact, and Annon himself probably wouldn't be the last.
The realization struck Annon from within like a bolt of lightning. His message
would have to be continuous. If the connection between him and Splash was
broken for even a second, the whole process would have to be repeated. He would
have to begin again. Not wanting to take the time to do that, Annon quickly
focused his thoughts again.
After all, time was precious. Who knew how much time he had left to acheive his
goals...
TBC......?
