Subject: [PW!] The Last Magnet Train Out Of Saffron Date: Mon, 01 Apr 2002 05:02:24 GMT From: Rob <robfrompw@yahoo.com> Organization: AT&T Worldnet Newsgroups: alt.games.nintendo.pokemon "I still can't believe the emergency the day I got home from Johto was that my Raichu was finally giving birth... to a Pichu AND an Elekid! That sure was a surprise!" "...uh, Robert, why are you recapping the day you arrived from Johto now as you're heading back?" A black-haired young woman asks the black-haired man who just spoke. The couple is standing inside the Saffron City Magnet Train Station. The young woman is holding two infant Pokemon up against her chest - a Pichu in one arm and an Elekid in the other. Robert strokes his goatee, then sweatdrops and replies, "You know, Rilli, I'm not sure. It's as if someone put the words in my mouth to inform those who missed the event about it." He points at the Pokemon that Rilli is holding, "Maybe I just said that since I'm sad that this is the last time I'll see these two for months!" Rilli looks down at her chest, then to the Pokemon she's holding up against it. She asks, "You mean the Pokemon, right?" "...uhm... YEAH! ...Pokemon. That's what I was talking about!" Robert hugs his girlfriend and gives her a kiss on the lips. Both infant Electric Pokemon between them roll their eyes. Robert sighs, "I'm going to miss you most of all, Rilli! It's just not the same making out with your image on my Pokegear's miniscreen." Mithril-rama sweatdrops, "Uh, yeah, about that - maybe you should stop doing that in public. People who see you probably think you've got a Pokegear fetish." "Let them think what they want! I don't care. I love you!" Robert kisses his girlfriend once more, "Besides, if I get people to start spreading strange rumors about me on the Internet, then the Diversity Gym might become more famous! In the past three months, so few people came in search of Oasis Badges. I haven't even been able to try out that Swinub that girl gave me for Christmas in combat. I'm sure I'll be using the present you gave me for my 25th birthday all the time, though!" Rilli crosses her arms, "You're doing it again, Robert." "Oh, I'm sorry - I shouldn't have mentioned... HER." Robert hugs Rilli so close that the infant Pokemon release some electricity that makes them both hop back. "Pichu! Elekid! Behave or I'll tell your mom and dad." When Mithril-rama says this, the dazed Pokemon look up at her and pout, then she says, "No, Robert, I mean recapping stuff I already know about. Maybe you're just anxious about the trip to Johto. Don't worry, you'll do fine - you earned that Fog Badge on your last trip - I'm sure you'll win a bunch more Johto Badges before next Christmas! Be sure to call me every single day. I worry about you if I don't hear from you for too long." Robert whines, then says, "I'm not sure I want to go back to explore Johto all by myself... Why do you think I stayed in Lavender Town for three months?" Just then, a whistle sounds and a man next to the parked Magnet Train in the Magnet Train Station shouts, "AAAALL ABOOOOARD!" "If that Train leaves the station and you're not inside it, you'll regret it. Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow, but soon, and then your ticket will have expired." Robert sniffs and asks, "...but what about us?" Mithril-rama leans in close to Robert and says, "We'll always have our Pokegears. We didn't have them - we used them until you came to Lavender Town, then gave them to the Kanto Radio Station. We got them back last night - it sure takes a long time to get a simple Radio Upgrade these days." "When I said I would never leave you-" "And you never will." Mithril-rama taps the Pokegear on her wrist, then the one on Robert's wrist, "But I've got a job to do, too. Where I'm going, there aren't too many people asking for Badges. There aren't too many people in Kanto period. What I've got to do is go to the bathroom. Robert, I'm no good at talking when I really have to go pee, but it doesn't take much to see that unless you get the Johto Badges and become a Pokemon Master, you don't amount to a hill of beans in this crazy world. Someday you'll understand that." Robert begins to sob and Rilli pats him on the back, "Now, now... He's looking at you, Rob." Robert stops crying and asks, "Don't you mean 'HERE'S looking at you'?" "No, the guy taking tickets - he's looking at you." Mithril-rama points to the man she's talking about, who nods, "He's probably wondering if you're going to board." "Of course! Goodbye, Rilli! Goodbye!" Robert gives his girlfriend one last kiss, turns around, and heads into the Last Magnet Train out of Saffron. -Robert
