Suddenly, someone kisses his cheek. He's pretty > sure > Rilli's the one who did, but fears she might not have made it and > Brooke > might've just kissed him, which would be bad. He turns his face to > see... ...the bright blue eyes of a certain brown-haired young woman called Brooke. Robert rubs his kissed cheek and shouts, "I thought you said you DIDN'T like me!" "Get over yourself!" Brooke points straight up and Robert moves his brown eyes up to see a little green plant dangling down above him, "It's mistletoe again, kid." Robert rolls his eyes, then uses them to search the throng of people gathered in the Train Station again. Parents reunite with Pokemon Trainers who just came off the Magnet Train and they leave the Station, Pokemon Trainers and their beloved Pokemon head out into the streets of Saffron City together, and after a few minutes, the Train Station is empty except for Robert and Brooke. Robert looks down, sad that Mithril-rama didn't come greet him at the Train Station, and shudders when he feels Brooke's hand on his back. He takes two brisk steps forward, "Leave me alone. It's bad enough Rilli forgot that I was coming home tonight." "I'm just giving you a pat on the back." Brooke sighs and crosses her arms, "You know why you don't have a real girlfriend? You don't treat a ladies with respect." Robert grinds his teeth as Brooke tells him how he should behave, then turns around towards her and says, "Not only do I know all that, I do have a girlfriend! I'll show you right now. Come over here." When Brooke steps over to him, Robert shows her the Pokegear on his left wrist as he uses it to call Mithril-rama. Both Robert and Brooke stare at the purple Pokegear's small screen until it turns on, showing the fabric of someone's yellow shirt. Robert faces Brooke and says, "See?!" Brooke raises a single brown eyebrow and asks with a concerned look on her face, "Uh, your girlfriend's a little boy? That's much worse than an imaginary one." "What?!" Robert turns his attention back to the Pokegear on his wrist to see that Rilli's little brother, Tommy, is the one who received the call and has only just now figured out where to look into his big sister's Pokegear's camera, "Hi, Tommy, where's Rilli, my GIRL FRIEND? I'm in the Magnet Train Station waiting..." "Robby!" Tommy cheers, happy to see the man who plays with him so often, especially since he hasn't seen him in a long time, "Mithy's not here - her Duduo came running really fast to here hours ago and told her there was an emergency at the Gym, so she just ran over there in her pajamas. She even forgot her Pokegear!" The news startles Robert, who says, "An emergency? I'll be right there - it is my Gym, after all." He turns off the Pokegear and heads towards the Station's exit... Brooke puts her hand on Robert's shoulder and says, "I'm sorry I didn't believe you, Robert. Here, to make it up to you - I'll give you a Christmas present that might come in handy, especially if you're really a Gym Leader." She slips her hand into his pocket and drops in a small sphere, "Maybe I'll see you again next Christmas!" "Maybe. Good night." Robert doesn't even bother to check what he's just received, worried at what kind of an emergency would keep Mithril-rama from meeting him at the Magnet Train Station. He just races out of the Station and down the streets of Saffron City, imagining all kinds of disasters - the Diversity Gym's Greenhouse Room being smashed by a meteorite, the dome over the Sky Room opening wide by accident letting Flying Pokemon being bred for Trainers escape, the fires of the Volcano Room burning down the Gym, or a renegade Water Pokemon poisoning the water in the Pool Room. After about half an hour of picturing his Gym being destroyed in various ways and running as fast as he can, Robert's standing in Lavender Town's violet fog, right before the door of his Diversity Gym. Robert pulls his first Pokeball off of his belt and calls out his Farfetch'd, "Farfetch'd, there's some kind of an emergency in the Gym. At first, I thought it was being destroyed, but now I think it's being attacked by Team Rocket and/or ninjas. If there are ninjas, and I'm pretty sure there will be, I want you to use your leek like a nunchaku and Swords Dance crazily in order to scare them away with your mad leek skills. Let's roll." Robert strikes a fighting pose then throws open his Gym's door and heads inside with his Pokemon. He doesn't see any ninjas, so as he heads past the Gym's vestibule and down its hallway, he calls out, "Riiiilli, I'm home!" -Robert
