Bob, who had crystal blue eyes and short, black hair with a blue, hooded shirt
and hunter green pants on also noticed the outburst but was more focussed on the
starting gate. His Sandshrew looked ready to race and win, and he was waiting to
give him the racing instructions, despite the fact that they already discussed the

Bob was looking down at his own arms, rubbing them to keep them warm. He
was recalling his own experience about being poisoned. The main difference was
that he was a normal kid at the time and it was a Tentacool that did it. He would
probably be dead by now if it wasn't for his Girafarig knowing Agility. When he
woke up the next morning, there were these leaves up his arms and vines that came
out of his wrist. Lucky for him, a good set of long sleeves and nobody is ever the
wiser. He was also fiddling aroung with a pendant around his neck. It was a bit
different in that it was a Miracle Seed that was there as opposed to a stone, but
it looked good and served a purpose so there were no complaints.

> "I was cold," was all Amber could mumble.
> It clicked in Solo's mind.
> "AH!!!! They had---"
> "No!" Vixxen cut him off. "They're in LOOOOOOOOOVE!"
> She laughed evilly.
> Solo only looked at her strangely. "Really? I never would have guessed..."
Bob finally snapped out of his own thoughts at the sound of the evil laughter.
"I wouldn't have either. But in this world, I've learned that anything's possible"
said, still rubbing his arms.
"True." Vixxen said, switching to an evil grin. "But why are you rubbing your arms
like that? It's like 15 degrees out here. How could you be cold?"
"I have no idea" Bob lied. He had an idea, but didn't wish to share it. "I haven't
like this since my mother asked me to feed the Ice-types the last time I was home."
"Well then, there's probably an Ice-type here." Vixxen mused. "Say, when you were
home?" she asked.
Bob looked around at everyone assembled. When he noticed Amber, it dawned on him.
"Sneasels are also Ice-types. Mystery solved." Bob noted. Snapping back to the
question: "Huh? Oh, in March. Of course it was after a short stop at the Goldenrod
Pokemon Center." He says, chuckling a bit nervously. Well, the trip WAS short ...
him, it was only long to those outside the Center.
About then, the announcer was just about ready to start the race. Bob perked
up at the sound of the announcer's voice as did everyone else. All the racing
were assembled at the starting gate including Bob's Sandshrew, a Tauros, and five or
"On your mark ... ... Get set"
"Sandshrew, Defense Curl." Bob said. A couple of other trainers were giving
and words of encouragement to their pokemon.
"Rollout!" The Sandshrew was the slowest out of the starting gate, the Tauros being
the fastest. However, the little Sandshrew quickly regained the lost ground. Now,
at the front of the pack, there was a Sandshrew, Tauros, and a couple of other
while the rest were a little ways back.
There was various cheering by varoius crowd members for all of the racers. And all
prase and cheering was really adding to the atmosphere.
Meanwhile, a Rapidash was hoofing it's way through the National Park at a blazing
speed before coming to a full stop. The two riders, one male and one female,
the fire horse but they were a bit too late to enter in this race.
"You just HAD to battle Falkner. You KNEW there were racing going on today." the
female one said.
"Come on, let's just go join the others." the male one said.
The three of them walked on towards the stands where everyone was watching the race.
