Reaching the end, or at least a clearing, the boy got up, and growled as he realized he'd lost his baseball cap. "Looks like we finally made it," Tetsuo said, brushing the leaves off of his shirt. He then ran his hands through his silver hair, and reached down, patting Frionel on the head. "Too bad we had to go the long way round." On his travels, Tetsuo had seen a lot of things, but nothing quite so strange as the sight now before his eyes. It seemed to be a Pokemon, except he didn't know of any Pokemon that produced their own light. He'd heard of a move that could let come Pokemon produce light in part of their body, but he'd never heard of a glowing golden Pokemon. "Frionel, do you know what that is?" He was trying to find anything, in the notes he'd found on the ground at his lat campsite, but they all seemed to be technical notes. Frionel's growl was a clear answer, he considered it a threat. The notes did hold mention of some interesting Pokemon, including one steel bug, and one that had... "Aha! This must be an Unown," Tetsuo said, pulling out a Pokeball. "B-type, and... brighter than anything I'd expect to see at night."1 A brief series of yips ended with a growl as Frionel headed for the Unown, ready to Take Down his enemy. but instead, he barreled into his trainer. "I could've sworn you were attacking B," Tetsuo said, looking around. The Unown was still there, right where it had been. "All right, try Biting it!" Frionel growled and lunged at the Unown, making a swift Bite before skidding to a halt next to Tetsuo. "All right, I haven't moved, and you didn't turn around," Tetsuo said. "This is really wierd. Try using your Ember technique!" Finally something that seemed to work. If only by the virtue of not ending up hitting Tetsuo, or missing the Unown completely, the fire seemed to work. "All right, Frionel, hold back." The Unown was burning and glowing all the brighter for it. Tetsuo didn't like doing this, but he didn't have a choice. Something as rare and powerful as this Unown was a once in a lifetime chance. "Frionel, while it's busy, hit it with a another Bite!" This time Frionel didn't end up next to Tetsuo, but instead he was holding the no longer burning Unown in his mouth. "Here we go," Tetsuo said, hurling the orb. "Pokeball, go!" Tetsuo smiled as he picked up the ball a moment later. Whatever this thing was able to do, he was sure it would help defeat the assasin. "Don't worry, Frionel... We'll head into that city. I think... That that's Ecruteak." /\/\/\/\ Arriving in Ecruteak, Tetsuo headed straight for the Pokemon Center, where he settled down for the night after leaving Frionel and Unown-B with Nurse Joy. In the morning, he was refreshed and pulled out his next shirt. A boy and a girl wearing identical martial arts costumes were on the front, the boy with black hair and the girl with red. In the city, he gasped at the sight before him as he passed by a building. ... "Maybe it's hiding in the rest of the garbage in this alley," Mamoru suggested. "Maybe my Unown Radar can find it," Yolei said, looking to her PokeGear. "Or maybe we can look... in THERE," Lynkeru said, pointing at the building just outside the alleyway. ... "Excuse me," Tetsuo said,looking at them. "Yolei, and Lynkeru, right? Did you just say Unown?" "Well of course," Yolei said. "We were chasing one, and it disappeared, and..." "And I fell in the rubbish," Lynkeru said. "Don't even think about laughing." "I wouldn't, but why would you be worried about going in there? I mean, I was just out front, and it looks like a perfectly normal, if empty, Gym. There is a Gym in this city, right?" Tetsuo knelt down and patted Frionel on the head.
