Whatever." Dee turns to leave. He stops, however, when he hears the unmistakable sound of a weapon being cocked. Rubix trains his hydro cannons on the Ditto's back, saying, "Am I the only one who's concerned about letting the amorphous Minax sympathizer go free?" "Probably," Nori answers his rhetorical question. "I'm busy working on an escape plan, and Andrew's too clueless to know what's going on..." "Hey, that's not nice." Andrew frowns disapprovingly down at Nori. "Besides, I *was* cognizant enough to see through your 'disguise'." Nori asks innocently, "What disguise? I wear naught but the frock of a Katsuyu Teishi. What part of 'Snail Magic' do you people not understand?" Dee turns to face Rubix. "Y'know, I'm really not in the mood for confrontation tonight--had a rather rigorous battle earlier today, and I was hoping for a relaxing evening. Let's try to keep this short." The leather coat-wearing human immediately Transforms into a twenty foot long Gyarados. Dee fires a Thunderbolt at the Blastoise who's threatening him, instantly knocking him out! The serpentine Pokemon then turns to Nori and Andrew with a pleasant smile, an odd expression for a Gyarados. "If you don't mind, I'll just be on my way now." Andrew nods agreeably, "Right. We won't stop you." Tied up in the grass at Andrew's feet, Nori is about to say something along those same lines, but instead, her mouth opens, and nothing comes out. She gapes at the Gyarados for a long beat, before finally finding her voice again. "Shapeshifting Pokemon bent on destruction? Associate of Minax? I know who you are!" *** flashback! *** Rob wrote: >Marcia shrugs and says, "Sure." She's inwardly glad that Allan's leading her straight to Mahogany Town but doesn't >show it. You're the Ditto who destroyed half of Kanto in the name of Pokemon Advancement! ...You're so cool..." One of the spines on the Gyarados' crown moves slightly upward, making it look as if the dragon is raising an eyebrow. He responds, "Sorry, but you're mistaken. Doppler died a long time ago." Nori insists, "I'm sure you're him. Team Rocket records state that Doppler is still alive, and there aren't very many Dittos who can Transform at will, let alone speak English." She continues, excitedly, "If you are Doppler, then I want to join up with you! I'm all for annihilating the human race." "Nori, stop it." All this talk of annihilation is making Andrew very nervous, and he's afraid that if Nori and Doppler forge an alliance, he might become their first target. He hisses down to the teenage girl who's lying on the ground in front of him, "You shouldn't partner up with Pokemon who destroy cities." "Yeah, I know," Nori shrugs, "but I missed out on that whole Pokemon Resistance dealie, and I didn't get to work with the Shiny Umbreon, either. At this point, I'm willing to go in with anyone who shares my philosophy that mankind is inherently evil, and deserves to be destroyed." Dee the Gyarados rolls his purple eyes. "Sorry, kid, but like I said, Doppler is gone--and you can consider yourself fortunate, because when he was alive, he killed Rockets like yourself on the spot. Well, most Rockets..." Dee's expression softens for a moment, but quickly becomes somber again. "That's a lot of history, and I don't feel like getting into it right now. I'm only here to deliver a warning." Dee's eyes glint threateningly as he charges a second Thunderbolt. "You *can* remember my warning, can't you?" "Um...hehehe." Nori blinks nervously in the face of the attack. With a burst of adrenaline, she manages to extract one of her wrists from Yuugi's makeshift handcuffs. "Fortunately for me, Snail Magic beats Serpent! Kuchiyose no Jutsu!" She makes a dramatic flourish with her free hand, then disappears in a flash of light! With his target gone, Dee allows his store of electricity to dissipate harmlessly into the air. He lowers his eyelids in boredom, not particularly impressed with Nori's technique, since summoning Pokemon out of Pokeballs hardly qualifies as genjutsu. * * * "Whew, that was close. Is everybody here?" Nori rubs her wrists, which are somewhat numb, since Yuugi's Vine Whips didn't allow for much circulation. Set, who was responsible for the Teleport technique that whisked Nori to her current position, informs his Trainer of his presence by hopping on her shoulder. Nori glances at the ground beside her, and sees that her unconscious Blastoise has been transported as well. She heaves a sigh of relief, "Well, that's everybody. I guess we're--" An Ivysaur charges headlong into Nori's chest, Tackling her to the ground! Andrew completes the thought, "...right back where we started." Nori struggles against a new set of Vine Whip bindings. When they refuse to give, she complains to her Natu, "Set, I never told you to Teleport these guys..." Set's defense has something to do with 'vague and incomprehensible Japanese commands'. "Well, no harm done." Nori shrugs, "Just use Teleport again." Andrew isn't sure exactly what happens next, but two seconds after Nori issues her command, she is standing free, and he is very tightly tangled in his Ivysaur's vines. In fact, the vines are so badly knotted around his body, that Yuugi is incapable of retracting them. Nori takes hold of one of the vine loops, and proceeds to drag the pair towards the concealment of some bushes. Andrew sighs, "This is definitely a familiar scene..." "It's nothing personal," Nori apologizes, "I just can't have you sending your Ivysaur after me every time we pass each other in the halls of the Pokemon Center. I'll come back for you after the tournament is over. If I remember." Andrew sighs again, "Thanks for your consideration."
