I cleaned it this morning just after I >changed the sign, and no one's been in there since." > "I guess that'll work," Alex noted as she took the three outfits in her hands and quickly stepped into a small public restroom, a sign denoting it as being co-ed. Turning to her two Pokémon before totally entering, she said, "If you guys find anything, tell me once I'm out, okay?" "Sure thing," ShadowWarrior noted, Surtur mirroring his sentiment with a nod. Alex entered the small restroom and turned on the inside light. Looking at the well-cleaned and polished lavatory, she noted to herself, "This'll do nicely," before slipping off her backpack and jacket. Just to be absolutely certain, however, she quickly looked around the room for any sort of camera. None presented themselves, so she continued with her self-modeling. Meanwhile, Surtur and ShadowWarrior wandered throughout the store, noticing various bits of Pokémon related merchandise and other articles of clothing. "Talk about well stocked," ShadowWarrior noted in a whisper. "So, you know anything about all this?" "<You mean Alex, or our situation with the Ditto?>" Surtur asked. "Both," ShadowWarrior replied. With a slight sigh, Surtur quickly explained, "<As I said earlier, Alexandria and I came across him in Violet City. He was apparently working there as a medical assistant, but left before Alex could thank him for directing her to the Gym. Obviously, he made his way here from there afterwards. Beyond that, Alexandria most likely knows more than I myself. As for her own secrets, that is none of my business to discuss.>" %I doubt they are too horrible,% Dee noted, unbeknownst to the young woman behind the desk. Surtur turned to the Ditto and said, "<Alexandria fears a lack of understanding of her heritage. Believe me, if people knew of her, they would not be that kind towards her. I would not be surprised if you could relate.>" Alex, meanwhile, had already tried on one red sleeved dress that ended a few short inches below her hips. The dress itself easily showed off what she considered her best physical feature (her legs), and put more emphasis on them than her breasts. It also reminded her of a similar dress worn by Rain Mikamura, thus earning a few brownie points in her mind. "Not bad," Alex noted to herself, looking in the restroom mirror. "All I need is the right jacket, boots, earrings and a headband, and I'd be a killer at the next Animé convention." Turning to the other two outfits she picked out, she quickly noted, "Now, as for these two..." Alex's Pokémon, meanwhile, had stumbled across the magazine rack. "I really don't see what the appeal is to humans," ShadowWarrior noted. "I mean, look at that thing. Why would someone want to spend five bucks on a magazine filled with pictures of some large rust bucket?" "<I believe human males mostly purchase them to look at the women with the cars,>" Surtur noted. "<I have never understood it myself. Perhaps it is a mammal thing.>" Alex, meanwhile, was now in a light blue dress that ended just below her knees. This one, unlike the red one, ended just above her knees and showed far less cleavage than the other dress. All it required was the proper shoes to work with it. "Nice," Alex said to herself. Surtur, meanwhile, had found the candy isle, and was busy over an argument with ShadowWarrior. "<As I have said before, the Twix bar is an example of perfection,>" Surtur argued. "<Peanut butter, caramel, and cookie filling all encased in chocolate. It is almost enough to kill for.>" "Eh, M&M's are better," ShadowWarrior replied. "Small, compact, and they last longer." "<You have no taste,>" Surtur noted. Alex, meanwhile, was down to her third and final outfit: more an extension of her current wardrobe than anything. She stood before the mirror in her normal clothes, only with her jacket replaced by a long brown poncho. The entire look quickly made her think of Clint Eastwood at the end of 'The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly'. "Need a hat for this one," Alex noted. "Still, looks good. And the poncho does help to hide my breasts a nudge." She quickly slipped off the poncho, replaced it with her normal jacket, folded up her selections, slipped her backpack back on, then exited the restroom, turning off the light as she did so. "Sorry I took so long," she said to her three associates as she noticed a few twelve-ounce bottles of Coca-Cola. She picked up one, walked to the desk, and said, "I'll take 'em. How much?" The blonde cashier quickly went over everything, then said, "One sleeveless dress, one sleeved, one poncho, and one bottle of Coca-Cola. Anything else?" Alex looked to her Pokémon, who quickly held up their own chocolate-laced selections and brought them to her. With a slight chuckle, she noted, "These also, sorry." "Not a problem!" the cashier noted, adding the two bits of candy to her pile. "The total comes to 2500 PokéBucks." Alex paid without question, and with her Pokémon and 'Aerie' in tow exited the large shop as the cashier happily screamed at the top of her lungs. "Poor girl's desperate," ShadowWarrior noted, now restored to his new perch upon Alex's right shoulder. "There are many like her," 'Aerie' noted. "Anyway, it is getting late. We will meet tomorrow to discuss our plans." "Sounds good to me," Alex replied. "Have a nice evening." The two quickly went their separate ways as Alex began to consider the events that were occurring around her; she had a battle to prepare for, and a father to aid in finding his child. Also, she had a little bit of explaining to do to ShadowWarrior, as well as to Daraxis and Nadyra, not to mention a call to put in to her family back home. With a slight sigh, she walked back to the Pokémon Center as Alex thought, _One thing at a time..._ [NS: We'll see Alex's attempts at a search soon enough, once I write her battle up. In the meantime, there are a few things I'd like to take care of with her, assuming there aren't any problems.] William Rendfeld Creator of Echowarrior, the Pokémon Resistance, and Alex Masters 178,000 Excellent Author Points 1 'I knew odd pokefacts that confused a bread crumb' point. 20 Y2Tech Points
