At least, > Mimic assume this form native Hoenn; never seen it in Johto, Kanto." Sapphire looks quickly around, first at the giant Zigzagoon, then at the Oldale residents who are starting at it. All of them are clearly having a hard time accepting the notion that anyone outside of the Mario family would be able to pull off an impromptu tanuki transformation. Sapphire casually pulls two Pokeballs from his belt. One is a red and white ball, which he holds in plain sight, between his index and middle finger. The other, a transparent ball, is hidden inside his hand, held against his palm by his ring finger and pinkie. "Diversion #47," he murmurs, then announces in a louder voice, "Mimic, hang on a second. I need to heal my Torchic," as he presses the release buttons. There is a flash of light, and then Filly appears on the ground in front of him, looking quite battered. Sapphire stoops down to administer a Potion, then recalls the Torchic into her Pokeball. There is a second flash of light as she disappears. Mimic peels his eyes, and listens intently, waiting for the effects of whatever Sapphire has done to become noticeable. He doesn't have to wait long, as almost immediately, the people surrounding them start running in the direction of the Rusty Beldum, and black smoke begins to billow from that direction. The Mimic-tanuki squints at the fire, and asks, "Pyrokinesis?" #Flame Wheel and Teleport, actually.# Raffy psychically determines. Sapphire explains further, "I call it 'Diversion #47,' Arcanine on a Hot Tin Roof." "Sapphire no able make quiet exit?" Mimic shakes his head, disapprovingly. "At very least, exit without massive destruction of private property?" "Hey, I'm doing everyone a favor." Sapphire argues, "First of all, it'll be much easier for the proprietor of the Rusty Beldum to collect his fire insurance and rebuild the pub, than it would be to repair the damage that was caused by that brawl. Secondly, I'm giving those would-be Pokemon Masters a chance to ingratiate themselves into the hearts of the townspeople--come on, you *know* they're going to step in to try to extinguish the fire. Thirdly, I'm helping your friend, by distracting the curious onlookers, and ensuring that we get to the Maqua base in a timely fashion..." "Mimic no argue need for diversion. Mimic question methods. Wonder if same thing could be accomplished without use of violence." The blue-haired man shrugs. "Sometimes you can play it cool, and sometimes you've gotta set fires." Raffy communicates with Mimic telepathically, #Bob won't be happy when he finds out that we've partnered up with a pyromaniac.# The large Zigzagoon lies down on his belly so Raffy and Sapphire can climb onto his back. "No wise stand here, waste opportunity to escape. Mimic take Sapphire, Raffy, away from crowd. Can continue debate on road if like." The brown and white striped Pokemon begins to move, looking quite odd with both a human and a Girafarig sitting on top of him. Sapphire asks, "Where, exactly, are we going?" "Mimic need find body of water so Mimic can perform submarine transformation. Once in sub body, Sapphire can extract maps of Magma base. From there, follow map, hopefully to Bob." "There's a pond over on your right." Sapphire points, as they come up on Route 102. Mimic continues past the pond, leaping over the heads of some confused Poochyena. "Too small. Need be deep enough that Mimic's body no touch bottom of pool, else booby trapped sub form explode. Probably take Raffy, Sapphire out with it." Sapphire shudders, "Well, if that's the case, then by all means, find a pool that's to your liking." "Ocean would be best, but Mimic no sure return to Lilycove good idea right now. Magma goons probably regroup since Mimic destroy submarine. See Mimic-sub, maybe think is real thing, and try to reclaim. No good for Bob if Magmas set off booby traps before Sapphire can get map of base." Mimic glances over his shoulder at Sapphire, then shifts his eyes back towards the road. "White gadget on Sapphire's belt is PokeNav, right? Please check map for location of nearest beach." Sapphire does just that. "It looks like we're approaching a town called Petalburg. Er...there's a beach just west of there." Raffy's stomach growls loudly. #Petal burger? Sounds tasty.# TBC? --Beth Pokemon o ubatte kanemouke! Pokemon o tsukatte kanemouke!
