The girls were both positively furious at him, and on the brink of hurling heavy objects at the poor man. "WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU WERE DOING?" Amber cried for possibly the 8th time. He was, again, given no time to answer. "---and had you have fallen and killed yourself I don't know what I would have done! Amber would have been heartbroken and you wouldn't have done anything heroic whatsoever! Your wool-filled head would have been all over the cement---" He put up his hands defensively from the onslaught of angry words. "WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU WERE DOING?" 9th time. "---but were you thinking? Noooo...You were to busy doing suicide missions out the window. And what the hell were you smoking to make you think that the door was charged with electricity?? I came in without a hitch! Are you going insane?" "HEY!!" he shouted angrily. Vixxen stopped speaking and glared at him, obviously thinking he needed more of a thrashing. Amber looked at him like she was about to cry. He placed a hand on her head and she was placated. "LISTEN TO ME, would you?!" he growled at vixxen. She snorted, not wanting to give him any chances. 'I don't care what you say, dammit! I'm going to protect her no matter what the costs, and that man is a direct threat to her. I am NOT going to just sit back and watch as something happens to her!" "YOU listen to ME! You will NOT go jumping out windows after some crazy man you haven't seen for hours! Amber about had a heartattack!" "Vixxen calm down," Amber said quietly. Vixxen turned to her. "WHAT?" "Calm down!" She narrowed her eyes at her friend. "Amber..." "His heart was in the right place. Thank Goddish nothing DID happen to him---" She pointedly looked at him. "---and he's safe now. Jason, promise not to leave me, please?" He took a pause for thought. A long one. Finally he sighed. "Fine. Of course not. I won't leave you alone, even to go searching for that man. But if he shows up, don't expect me to just hang back, ok?" "Ok!" She smiled happily. Vixxen growled. "If I find out that you've left her alone for a moment, I swear to Goddish…" Her bracers flared suddenly. "You're the piece that holds the puzzle of her happiness together." She gave him a measured glance. Then she smiled pleasently. "Well enough of that. I need a burger." She trundled off down the stairs. "Well..." Amber said quietly. "Let's round everyone up and tell them." "Everyone's gone." "Eh?" She looked up at him. "They're all off on errands. Let's wait to tell them." "Ok…" They gathered their stuff together nonetheless. They approached Vixxen in the cafeteria. "We're going to go to an Onsen," Jason said. Vixxen grunted indeterminately. "Could you tell the others for us?" Amber asked. "Mmhmm." "Thank you!" She gave her friend a hug and the pair departed for the onsen…
