Once only Smasher was left in the room, a tiny portal opened in one
corner. Smasher instantly noticed, and it soon consumed his full
attention.
Nothing came through, and the portal soon disappeared, but not before
Smasher heard a few "Hmm"s and "Ah"s. The voice sounded familiar, but
Smasher could not quite place it.
The voice's source was long since dead to this world. Indeed, she
would have preferred to stay in her blissful, orgiastic limbo with her
other, but some annoying grass pokemon had forced a way into their
out-of-time space with a warning about the one being still on Earth she
cared about at all.

"Oh, well, it was fun while it lasted," Kitsu mused as the Comic Con
drew to a close. "Too bad you had to miss the other contests."
Aerie blushed at the memory of being paralyzed on Kitsu for most of a
day, which was the only thing signalling Kitsu it was safe to tease her
about this.
"At least we won the cosplay," Kitsu continued, eyes wandering over the
certificate - and, more importantly, the currency that had come with
first place, ostensibly to refund the registration fees which they had
never actually paid. "Now we just have to find my brother and-"
Kitsu noticed the change in Aerie well before Aerie became conscious of
it. Blushing silence winked into trance silence for almost a minute,
until Aerie turned a blank expression towards Kitsu. "We have to go to
Ecruteak." She tilted her head. "...*you* have to go to Ecruteak. I
should come along, just in case."
"Okay, why?"
"There is something there only you can do. A...veil, that you can
pierce...maybe. Great evil lies behind it." Aerie clutched her head
and winced. "HEY! I DON'T CARE WHO YOU ARE! STOP TRYING TO TELL ME
WHAT TO...oh." She blinked. "Umm...sorry?"
Kitsu's eyes widened. "Aerie, apologizing? This *must* be serious!"
Aerie shook her head, trance gone along with the one who had induced it.
"*Someone's* requesting we head up to Ecruteak to play hero. Unless you
have anything you'd rather do?"
A *SLAP* from above drew their attention. Some irritated lady huffed
and stormed back inside her second story balcony, as Keaton soared down
from said balcony, rolled on reaching the ground, and came to a stop on
his feet, rubbing a fresh palm print on his cheek. "I guess that's a
no. Oh, there you are! I've been looking all over for you two."
