He was going off of memory from what Mike had told him of the place almost two weeks ago. He passed by the Department store and took a left and then turned right into a side alley. There were some people standing around, but Trousle hardly noticed them as he sped past. He emerged from the far-end of the alley and was standing before a large building with huge revolving doors. There was a sign on the street corner and Trousle approached, certain that *this* had to be ComComCom. "ComComCom Marketing Division. Goldenrod City. Est. ----" Trousle read the sign. For some reason, the established date was faded out. He looked up at the massive building and was about to enter when he noticed another sign near the door. It read: "Marketing Division for ComComCom, entrance on left side." "Huh? Left side?" Trousle walked around to the left side of the building and noticed a smaller set of revolving doors which appeared to be little used. He pushed on the doors but was unable to get them to move. He looked all around the door and realized that there was yet *another* sign on this one that said: "ComComCom Marketing Division temporarily moved to rear of building for Contest use." "Well, that's more like it. At least I know I'm definitely at the right place." Trousle walked around to the rear of building and ran smack into Lisa who was already standing there at the door. "Ooomph. Hey! Watch where you're -- ... Oh! Hey Trub. What's up?" "Lisa! Hey! Um. I mean ... uh, hi, what're you doing here?" "Duh! I'm here for the contests. It looks like we might be early or something. There's no one here besides us and the doors are all locked. I wonder where everyone is?" "I don't know. But I'm glad you're here Lisa. At least I have one friendly person to talk to, " Trousle said before realizing how goofy it sounded. He turned around to hide him embarrassment. "Well, thank you, Trub, I'm glad you're here too," Lisa said. She reached out a hand to place on his shoulder, to turn him around, but he spun around on his own volition and ran into her hand. The force of the impack made Lisa spin around and knocked Trousle back a few inches before he toppled to the ground. "What did you do that for!?" He yelled. "Sorry. I didn't mean to! I was going to turn you around so we could talk face to face! Honest!" Tears started welling up in her eyes and she started sobbing. "I always do things without thinking and I always end up hurting someone." She said between sobs. "Oh. Lisa, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to snap at you. You just caught me off guard. That's all. See? I'm fine!" Trousle smiled big and stood up. Lisa stopped sobbing and looked up at him. "Well, Trousle, at least we're both ready for these contests. " Lisa said, changing the subject. "We've both been training hard this last week. I bet your Slugma will be the Toughest Pokemon out there!" Trousle shrugged his shoulders and said, "Well, it won't really matter now. The whole reason I got interested in this contest was the prize money. I was trying to save up to buy a bicycle, but I'm not really in a hurry to go anywhere now that I --- Um ... nevermind." Trousle cut himself off before he blurted out his feelings for Lisa. He hadn't known her all that long and he figured she would probably just laugh at him. He looked up at Lisa and smiled. "Anyway, I bet *your* Slugma's going to win the Beauty contest!" "Heh. You think so, huh? You don't think I know you've been working with your Wooper to enter it against me? You're sneaky, Trub, but it'll be a fun contest!" "How did ... how did you know I was training Whoop?" Trousle asked. "Well, it wasn't too difficult to tell since you bought three blue PokeBlocks at our last trip to the Department store. And you haven't even taken your Pidgey out of the PC since we've been training." "Doh. It was supposed to be a surprise. I wanted to impress you." Trousle said. "Well, it *is* a surprise, Trub. A good one, too. I'm sure we'll both make this an interesting contest!" Trousle and Lisa stood there for a minute before they heard someone mumbling from the left side of the building ...
