"What exactly is it that you and Sven do?" "We're part of the Carvanha Unit," Peabody replied. "Specialized Stealth Operations. Hit and run and so forth. That's why Sven and I don't usually wear the normal Team Aqua uniforms." "That and they look like old prison outfits," Sven added. #And one of those 'stealth operations' was to try and get Breeder Boy here a while back,# Raffy added, casting a suspicious glance towards the two Aquas and their semi-official partner. Peabody slowly nodded and admitted, "Yeah, those were our orders at one point." Elsa looked between her 'comrades' and the young breeder and asked, "Why?" Bob removed his hood, revealing the rather large leaf sprouting from it, and replied, "This is why." #Bayleef Bob here's a hybrid,# Raffy explained. #Something happened a ways back that mixed in some Chikorita DNA with his regular genes. He 'evolved' into a Bayleef hybrid some time ago. Then Team Magma got a hold of him and added in some stuff from a local Grass-type, something called a Grovyle.# "Along with a small assortment of new attacks and a destructive controller personality," Bob explained further. "One that wouldn't hesitate to kill anyone on this helicopter at a moment's notice." Elsa tried her best to hold back worry; none of her extra personalities were quite that destructive. Roselia, from her perch near the hatch, hoped that the breeder, who seemed vaguely familiar, wouldn't hurt her or Elsa. Mudkip didn't seem to understand, whereas Jaws, who wished to remain with his new friend, gulped audibly in terror. Sven took notice himself, wishing that one of his Pokémon did indeed know an Ice-based attack. Peabody, meanwhile, attempted to remain calm, and asked, "Which is why you want our boss's help, right?" Bob nodded. "My little brother's going to be spending a lot of time traveling with me. I don't want him getting hurt." "Well, hopefully we'll be able to take care of that," Peabody assured the breeder. "Once Leif gets back and gets in touch with a few friends of his, we should be able to get rid of that second personality. Or at least severely weaken it." Elsa spoke up, worry evident in her voice, "Are we sure that's a good idea?" "Considering the alternative?" Sven asked in reply. "I'd rather take care of this before I lose a limb, or worse." #Wise move, Viking Man.# Sven narrowed his eyes, and asked Bob, "You know how to shut him up?" Bob sighed, then replied, "Don't even bother trying." Trying to get her mind off the possibility of ending up among the dead, Elsa changed the subject. "So, where specifically is the base?" "It's in an abandoned ocean liner between the normal route from Dewford Island to Slateport City," Peabody answered. "We've renovated it a bit, spruced things up. It's actually quite comfortable." "Easy way to catch Water-types, too," Sven noted. "But the way you're setting yourself up, you may want to try for a Flying Pokémon like a Skarmory or something." "I'll think about it," Elsa answered, leaning back in her seat and hoping that the ride would be a safe one. >[NS: Stupid Real Life ... Stupid Writer's Block] > [NS: I feel your pain.
