From: "MechaGojira - The Sword Which Cleaveth Evil" <jorgenospam@rocketpunch.nospam.net> Subject: [PW!] Knock-Down, Drag-Out Fight Date: Sunday, April 25, 2004 3:15 AM "Odd, he said he'd be waiting for me behind the crossing station, but he's not here. He's always on time." Dan checks the time on his small pocket watch, noting that Goro should have been at the station on the Celadon-Saffron boundary line twenty minutes ago. "I'm afraid you wont be meeting with the detective, Ando!" "Metal Earth!?" A black haired man in a black trenchcoat and slacks approaches Dan. He is very tall and has a thick eastern European accent, which adds to his intimidation factor. He is a member of Metal Earth, displeased with Dan's investigations and the subsequent arrests of his colleagues. "Welcome to your final interview. My name is Fredrik Schwarz, and I'll be the one to silence you." ==== PokéWars! Knock-Down, Drag-Out Fight MechaGojira ==== "Panzerfaust! Come out! Without that mutt at your side, you'll be hard pressed to defeat me and Panzerfaust!" Fredrik summons his Lairon, which howls madly at the sky, and then cackles. Dan looks a bit frightened and stunned. "W-What do you want from me? Please realize that you don't scare me." "I'm not here to scare you, boy. I'm here to kill you. And to make sure you die. We will not make assumptions this time." Dan slowly backs away from Fredrik and his Lairon, both of which continue to advance. "You're all on the run after all those arrests. There aren't even that many of you left. Why are you fighting for a dying group of crooks and thugs?" "'Not that many of you left'? HAHA! 'Crooks and thugs'! You may be good at finding things, boy, but you're a terrible researcher." "You're telling me those arrests never happened?" "Oh, they have. But what you do not understand is the depth and complexity of our organization. We have goals and means by which to achieve them that are beyond you." "As of yet, you seem like a group of petty pokémon thieves." Dan continues to back up. "They're the method by which we can advance ourselves. We liberate them from trainers who make them nothing but weak, foolish personal tools, and we strengthen them! We nurture them not with candy, but with bruises. We experiment on them to unlock their hidden potential. We harden them, and push them to their limits, limits which only we are capable of handling. Do you call that theft? I call that breaking free. We free them and put them to a glorious use, when they would have otherwise gone to waste." "That's... horrible." "Yet highly effective. Observe." Fredrik stands perfectly still for a moment, and Dan wonders what exactly he plans on doing. "Iron Tail!" Panzerfaust's Iron Tail attack covers Dan a cloud of dirt, knocking him to the ground as he chokes and gasps for air. "AGAIN!" Another Iron Tail attack strikes Dan on his chest, knocking him against a tree and shattering its bark. "Can you not see? The power of effective training, the power of science. The power only Metal Earth is capable of." "You're a monster." Dan wipes a small, bleeding wound under his lip. "Are you implying that YOUR form of slavery is superior?" "It's different than..." Dan coughs and wheezes, blood dribbling out of his mouth. "It is different. It's weak and futile. We are to be strong! It is the destiny of all pokémon to serve their greater purpose for us. Now, Mr Ando, I do believe I've been diverted from my task long enough." Fredrick tugs on his black leather gloves, tightening them. Dan crawls back, away from his assailant. He ponders for a moment. With Zoffy at home, Dan is without the fire-type attacks which could defend him easily. Fredrik approaches Dan and grips his neck. Dan struggles to break free, making a mental scramble for ideas on how to escape this mess. "This is your first time," he thinks, "so make it count... ARASHI." He reaches into his pocket and presses down on the center button of his pokéball, dropping it on the ground. Almost instantly, Fredrik is propelled off of Dan, and into the rear wall of the Celadon-Saffron crossing station. Dan tries to stand , but can only manage to sit for the time being. "PRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIME!!!" "Think you can battle me? Panzerfaust, attack!" Fredrik's Lairon swings its tail at Arashi, who smacks it away with his fist, stunning Panzerfaust. The agile Primeape takes the opportunity to perfect his Hi Jump Kick technique on the Lairon's face. "Panzerfaust, Metal Claw!" The Lairon's claw slashes Arashi, who lets out a furious cry. The enraged Primeape elbows his opponent, and thrusts his paw at the Lairon's chin, following up with a spinning kick. "PRIME! PRIMEAPE!" Arashi beats the sides of his head and shakes his two fists a bit. "Right, Arashi! You can do this. Just watch his moves!" "Panzerfaust, you can't let this pushover and his weakling pokémon defeat you! Harden! Headbutt!" Pausing to harden his armor, Panzerfaust then dives into Arashi, knocking him back, and angering him further. Arashi growls fiercely, and tries hitting the Lairon, however, he deflects every one of Arashi's blows. Panzerfaust grapples Arashi, crushing him. "Hahahahaha! Crush him! Break the weakling and teach his trainer a valuable lesson." ...weakling. ...weakling. ...weakling. "PRIIIIIIME!" Upon hearing that word, Arashi breaks free from his opponent's hold, as if suddenly possessed. With a powerful kick and flip, puts a good distance between himself and the Lairon. His eyes are bloodshot, his arms shaking. "PRIMEAAAAAAAAPE!" "Arashi, give him a... Dynamic Punch!" Arashi's powerful Dynamic Punch cracks Panzerfaust's outer shell, knocking him out upon impact. Arashi is breathing heavily and lets out another yell, raising both fists into the air. "PRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIME!" Arashi runs back and forth, flailing his fists in the air. "(FIGHT! GIVE ME MORE FIGHTS!)" "Now what?" Dan asks. From his front trenchcoat pocket, Fredrik draws a knife. "Business." "DYNAMITE KIIIIIIIIIIIICK!" *fwa-thok* Fredrik falls to the ground while his knife flies into a tree. Dynamask lands on the ground a moment later as Fredrik rolls away. "Can you make it out of here?" "Uh.. I..." Dan cannot form words. After years of skepticism, he is at last confronted with the one urban legend that he has never been able to fully prove or disprove. "You!" Fredrik exclaims, "I... I'll complete this job when I have no interference. Consider yourself lucky, Ando!" Fredrik recalls Panzerfaust and flees. "And you, Dynamask... we will return to haunt you! For everything!" Dynamask extends his hand to Dan and assists him in getting back on his feet. "Thanks... I uh..." "It's not a problem. These guys are always giving people trouble. ...Is he alright?" Dan inspects the now calmed Arashi for any wounds or cuts. He turns back to respond to Dynamask, but he has vanished from sight. "I may be getting something bigger than I though at first, Arashi." Dan holds his side, which is still aching. "Oh, I hope Goro's having a better day than I am."
