[NS: Tidal pool?]
Keaton took off in the direction he remembered the Serph going in,
changing to near-human form when no one was looking. The search for the
Walrein proved fruitless, but he met up with Kitsu, also in near-human
form, on his way back to the pool.
"It seems you were right," Kitsu admitted. "It would appear we were
challenged."
"Talking Pokemon?" Keaton inquired.
"Seviper," Kitsu confirmed. "Use of honorific?"
"Walrein," Keaton replied. "Foreign accent?"
"If you consider a lisp an accent. Mysterious disappearance?"
"Especially for a walrus. Know what we're looking for?"
"I'd imagine a large man with long, white hair and matching mustache.
The Seviper will probably have a distinctive pattern on her face."
"Unless she's cover it."
"Right. Let's split up. I'll start on the Mall Deck, you can start
with the pool."
"Got it... Wait, why the mall?"
"I'll need a gown for the gala, of course. You don't seriously expect
me to go in this, do you? Besides, you know how snakes are with dresses."
"Oh, yeah. And I'm starting with pool because Walreins love water and
like to hang around half-naked chicks."
"Sound like a plan, then?"
"Definitely."
Elsewhere on the vessel, a large, white-haired, mustached man in a blue
tracksuit and a veiled, black-haired woman wearing a purple kimono lurk
in the shadows.
"I say we approach them now," the woman said. "They are definitely
Nidon's children."
"Nein," the man disagreed. "Et is being to soon. Doppler is first
priority."
"Doppler is no where to be found," the woman countered. "It'd take a
psychic to find him on this cruise."
"This is true," the man admitted. "But et's not as difficult as you are
making et sound."
"How so?"
"We both are knowing that Doppler is linked to prince and princess by
daughter, yes? We finding daughter, daughter finding Doppler, no?"
"Indeed. Doppler's daughter would be a good starting point."
"And even ef little girl cannot bring us Doppler, girl make excellent
substitute, yes?"
"Very much so. Yesss.... His legacy would be ours."
To be continued...?
