Derek jerked his head around, unaware that someone was beside him.
"Oh hello. We're heading for Professor Birch's Lab."
"Any special reason?" John asked as the group restarted to make forward
progress towards the lab.
"Well, as you may or may not know, a young man was blasted with a Hyper
Beam. We, as a group, believe that he may have flew all the way here. So,
since nobody else will look for him, we're doing it." Derek explained
As a fighter and trainer of fighting-types, John had some experience with
impact. The idea that someone could get hit by an attack and fly that far
was almost beyond belief.
"What will you do with the body?"
"We have no reason to believe he's dead." Derek said simply. "True, the
fall should most likely kill him, but me as one have seen my fair share of
oddness when dealing with things. He's not dead until we find proof that
