From: "Clayton" <redneckdadd@yahoo.com> Subject: [PW!] [NC] Of Interludes and Inner Demon Guides Date: Sunday, February 22, 2004 4:33 AM A rather desolate landscape ... so was the image of a young hybrid's mindscape. Between Shiny Unown Battles, being chased and now being used in twisted experiments by Magmas, much of the mental landscape fell victim to property damage. Aay never really helped either, and neither did Bob's psychic sidekick Raffy. However, what wasn't wrecked was a lush green landscape, with grass waving in a constant and gentle breeze. A large tree forms the focal point of the lush meadow, whick is dotted with gentle hills and the odd smaller tree. All in all, it could pass for a haven for any grass-type. The breeder had retreated here when the pain got to be too unbearable. The last thing he remembered in the conscious world was wailing due to the pain. As he sat at the base of the largest tree in the meadow, a Bayleef walked towards the grass hybrid. Bob didn't move, thinking that this was just a representation of the pokemon half of him. That thought was dismissed then the Bayleef came closer. It had a fluffy tan-coloured tail. Thinking it odd and definitely off, Bob bopped the leaf pokemon on the head gently. Pokemon truned into an anthropomorphic fox, about a foot and a half tall with darker coloured hair than tail. Said creature looked a bit miffed at being bopped like that. "A Kitsune? Are you supposed to be my inner demon?" Said kitsune facefaulted quite comically actually. "I'm supposed to be your guide!" Said kitsune yelled out in frustration, in a child-like voice. "Bayleef was supposed to do this, but he's out getting drunk with a Grovyle that just showed up not too long ago" "Aren't you still a demon?" "Yep!" He said proudly. "Whatever. Guide me oh cute and cuddly kitsune!" Bob said dramatically "You know that Raffy's having a bad influence on you?" The kitsune asked "Yep!" Bob said proudly ------- Some walking later, which if it wasn't the mindscape would look comical, and the pair came to a village, only it was off. Building were warped and started to look like some work of modern art. Even as they watched, things were further warping, twisting. "What's going on?" Bob asked. "The in-continuity realm is happening. Out there, you're being used in a twisted experiment. The warping is the changes that they made to you taking effect. Normally learning things takes time, like a hut being built. They just overloaded your mind and it's adapting as best it can" "Oh, I wondered why I suddenly knew things. I'll have to 'Thank' them later." Bob said, an Angry thought filtering in. He almost casually banished it from his mind. The kitsune shuddered. When his friends got scary to him, one of them always ate dirt ... hard after the magic word was spoken. He didn't want to take the chance with Bob. "Anywhere else this guided tour takes us?" "Your memories, the author wants to show you a few things and see if he can totally break the Fourth Wall in this post." Bob shrugged. "Fair enough" ------- A few wavy distortions of the mental reality transported kitsune and hybrid to a massive library. The kitsune looked like it was a little sick from the experience, but put up a strong front ... well as strong and brave an 18-inch tall child demon can put up "Well how cliche." Bob observed, before entering. Inside was a single solitary human cleaning up the mess slowly. Noticing a piece of paper on the floor, the hybrid picked it up and read it. ~~~ An [IC] Flashback (If it's allowed) ~~~ [NS: If it's not allowed, then it doesn't matter] A younger and less-stressed looking Bob holds two pokeballs, one in each hand. After staring at them for a few seconds, he releases the pair of bug-type pokemon inside. Where once they were a Spinarak and a Ledyba, the passage of even a short while has allowed them to evolve into an Ariados and a Ledian. Fiddling with the mechanism that bonds a pokemon to a pokeball, breaking it and technically releasing them, Bob looked at the two evolved bug-types. "You're free to do what you will." Bob said simply. "I like you, I really do. It's just that well I don't know." The breeder had a hard time explaining this feeling. But he dis know what he was going to say next. "If you want, I'll break these things. Or I can keep them if you ever want to come back. Pehaps you can go find your friends around here and teach them what you've learned. It's your choice now." Bob said, putting up a strong front, while watching the insect pokemon skittle or fly off into the woods. Bob smiled. It would be better that way for everyone. A few days later, a small crowd of Spinarak and Ledyba had moved to the outer edges of the Day Care property. The crowd was being guided by a familiar Ariados and Ledian ~~~ End Flashback ~~~ "That seemed a little conviently placed, as does this glass shard" Bob noted, holding up a shimmering glass shard. "The shard's a piece of the mystical Fourth Wall. The stray memory was probably placed there for a reason," the kitsune reasoned, not really sure of the details. He was just a guide after all. Venturing about the library of memories, they finally met the keeper of the place, and Bob was definitely surpised -- it was himself ... well if was a full human that is. It seemed kind of wierd, but this is the mindscape so he shrugged it off. Besides, he's seen wierder in the real world. "So you keep my memories and stuff?" Hybrid-Bob asked Human-Bob "Yep, and Bayleef keeps the inner demons at bay. His Razor Leaf is quite effective" the human Bob noted. "Right" the hybrid said, blinking twice. Then he noticed all the busted books and stray pages. Picking up another one, he read it, and laughed at the memory that it held. He handed it to the human Bob. "Take care of this one, it's a keeper." Reading it, the human Bob agreed. "You should go, I got a note that some bad things are going to happen." "Sure. Come on squirt, you gotta lead me out of this place." the hybrid breeder said to the kitsone, who was wandering aimlessly like a little kid. ------- A bit later, kid and kitsune were standing outside in the middle of the field where this whole NC stuff happened when it started raining glass shards. The kitsune cringed, he felt the powere of the wind do this and that meant that HE was coming. Bob just wondered where the glass came from. "That meanie broke the Fourth Wall!" The kitsune declared, before running as fast as his furry little paws would allow. A figure dressed in all red and carrying a large sword streaked by in a blur, grabbed the kitsune, streaked back and through the hole he made in the Fourth Wall all in the span of about 15 seconds. Once Bob regained mental capacity his only thought was "White Growlithe ears?" He shook his head and decided to go find that bar where his inner Bayleef was getting drunking that Grovyle. TBC (But I severly doubt it) ------- Clayton Random Tagline: Enough with the gratuetous cameos! [NS: An idea that popped in my head. Would it be too hard to believe that Bob caught some of Jeff's anime? Plus it's something to bide time while Bob's unconscious]
