"That could have been a lot messier," said Lauren. "I hope you're happy with yourself." Diego certainly did look happy with himself. He'd released his beloved baby Geodude, and was stroking the Boulder Pokémon's rocky head. "Density!" he squealed, a tear in his eye. "I feel like we've been apart for WEEKS!" "It's been a couple of minutes," said Lauren drily. "And you seriously overreacted. Offering her the stinkin' GUPLIN as well?" "I was acting," said Diego, still distracted by a now-nervous Density. "You heard the girl. She thought we were poor. YOU messed up, offering her clothes. You should have let her think we didn't have anything." "Seriously, Diego, we can't take her Pokémon and not give her anything in return. That'd be wrong." She pulled Sparkler's Poké Ball from her pocket. "We should contact Eric at some point, too, to let him know we've managed to cheat a teenager out of her Pokémon." After finding her room details from Nurse Joy, the pair quickly set off, Lauren leading the way. Diego was carrying Density tenderly in his arms, while his partner went through her old disguises. "I've never liked this one - only really works if I need a disguise in 1860," she said. "Oh, and I have two of these. And this one has stains I don't want to bother removing." They left a bag containing several outfits on the bed. "She may not have such a problem keeping her clothing clung to her body now," sniffed Lauren, who disapproved of displaying intimate parts of one's body unless a rare Pokémon was likely to be earned from the act, and even THEN, anything more sexual than belly button was a definate no. "I'd better write a note." Lauren scribbled a quick message on a post-it note, a pad of which she kept mainly for disguise purposes. "Heya, Keiko!!" it read. "Your mate from earlier here. ^_^ Hope these clothes suit you. We seem to be roughly the same size. ^_-v" "We'd better go now," said Lauren. "We can come back here to see if we can find a Plusle in the wild, but we'd better keep a low profile for now." Lauren and Diego quickly changed into different disguises - a pair of traffic wardens this time - and exited the building. Diego wrote a few tickets for effect, but for the most part, he was just thrilled to have the Geodude back. TBC? > [NS: Finally! I hope I didn't go too out of character here...] [NS: Lauren was spot-on, and there was no inconsistency with Diego. Anyway, Lauren and Diego are making their getaway into another thread now. I guess we'll have to wait and see whether Keiko will ever get Sparkler back...]
