Still absorbing what had just happened (and Dan hoping that he did not display TOO much enthusiasm), Dan and Zoffy remain thoroughly impressed as they watch David, Robert and Andrew vanish from sight, waving and wishing each other a safe trip to their final destinations. Dan wonders if he and Zoffy have the potential to be like Robert or that nice Andrew fellow some day. Dan is also excited about having an interview to upload to the Xpoze, but keeps in mind that he still has a task at hand: Primeape. The trainer and his Houndour both take a deep breath as they approach the confused Primeape, which is slowly trying to make sense of itself. Dan wonders, though... another attempt at a frontal attack with Zoffy would end the same as the earlier one. "Diversity..." he thinks aloud. Perhaps it was time for a change of strategy? Dan thinks back to the few notes he made about Pokemon types, and how some have attack advantages or resistance against others. "Diversity..." "Zoffy, sit this one out. Fighting types must have an advantage against Dark types. Apollo... are you ready?" Zoffy, still a bit shaken up, agrees. Dan thinks that although Electric types such as Apollo have no natural advantages against Fighting types, they are also not weak against that type's attacks. Not the stellar advantage Dan would hope for, but much better than fighting with a weakness. Apollo emerges from his ball in a boxing stance, hoping to intimidate his opponent. "Robert's gym prides itself on using several types of Pokemon instead of becoming reliant on a single type. And that strategy, friends, that diversity... must be one of the keys to victory. You learn so much as a journalist, and from so many great peo--" Dan interrupts his own monologue when he realizes that it would be in his best interests to finish this battle now. The Primeape shuffles about as Apollo readies himself. "Right, Apollo. Let's show this Primeape what we've learned, even in such short time!" He turns back to look at the spot where the two trainers and the Kadabra teleported. "...and maybe we'll get the chance to pay him a visit in Lavender some day." He brushes his messy brown hair aside, and turns his attention to the battle. TBC -- MechaGojira #28 http://www.rocketpunch.net jorge[at]rocketpunch[dot]net
