Meanwhile, the large flare of light had died down.
"That wasn't the sun?" Cass asked.
"Looks like it was a Pokémon using Sunny Day instead," Alex replied.
"Too much time freezing. Our internal clocks must be wonky."
"Good thing we weren't affected then," ShadowWarrior noted from his
temporary perch upon Grospoliner. As the two moved towards Alex,
Surtur in tow, the Murkrow asked, "So, what now?"
"I do what I can to keep my word," Alex replied. She turned to Kitsu
and said, "Good luck finding your friend." Kitsu looked at her in
surprise before Alex explained, "Just a guess."
"Thanks," Kitsu replied before she and Keaton moved off.

Several minutes later, Alex and Cass made their way down to Dee's room
on the SS Tidal, Alex's Pokémon following them and Aerie asleep in
Alex's arms.
"Y'know Cass, I can't wait to be a mother," Alex noted with a smile.
"You've got a ways to go before then, kid," Cass cracked. "So, how do
we get in?"
Alex subtly reached into one of Aerie's pockets, and quickly produced
two items; a small Ribbon and a keycard. After laying down the ribbon
upon Aerie's chest, Alex slipped the keycard into the lock, opening
the door.
Alex entered, and found a small bed waiting for them. She gently laid
Aerie down upon the bed and quietly tucked her in. Aerie softly
moaned, and snuggled her head against a pillow. The elder girl smiled,
brushed a few strands of hair out of Aerie's face, and said, "Rest
well," before leaving the keycard on the dresser and exiting the room.
Her business for the evening complete, Alex turned to her elder sister
and said, "Well, we'd best get some shuteye in ourselves. If the
clocks around here are correct, it's closer to midnight than I'd
prefer, and we've got a lot to do tomorrow. Just in case, we'd best
break out the coffee come morning."
"" Surtur asked.
"It'll wear off in about four hours," Alex replied. With a slight
yawn, she said, "Besides, I'll need all the energy I can get."
"Family counseling," Cass noted. "I think you're in over your head,
Alex."
"I can't just stand back and watch," Alex replied. "I care that much."
Cass put a hand to Alex's shoulder and said, "I know. I just hope you
can do it."
Alex darted a small glance towards the sixth Poké Ball on her belt and
said, "So do I."

Sleep, thankfully, came easy that night. Alexandria would need that
sleep, as well as all the hope she could get. Besides the issues
concerning her own family, she had another problem on the horizon.
On the Main Deck, nearly vacant save for a few late-nighters, a lone
figure stood.
"Soon," he noted under his breath.

[Gotcha. And sorry this took so dang long; AOL's been giving me hell
lately, so I had to post through Google. Busy busy...
Also, I hope no one minds what I've set up with Alex. Can we say, long
term plot thread?]
