"Hmm...Dewford, Mauville, or Fallarbor?" Nori contemplates which of
the specified Hoenn cities she ought to visit for several seconds
before shaking her head, "It's not like any of those names mean
anything to me. I'll just travel with whichever group Alex isn't in.
I'm not in the mood to listen to any more of her delusional ranting."
Overhearing Nori's insult, Alex turns to her older sister, an
expression of dismay on her face. "I was afraid that something like
this might happen."
Cass places a restraining hand on her shoulder "Sis, relax."
Rubix takes a look at the distressed Alex, and addresses Nori before
she can make another inflammatory comment, "Maybe we should give her
the benefit of the doubt. Theoretically, she *could* be an alien. We
do know that aliens *exist*. Remember when we met that Car'tos guy?"
Nori furrows her brow. "Who?"
"Car'tos. Blue skin, wings like a bat; 12 foot wing span." Rubix
tries to come up with a description that will jog Nori's memory, "The
two of you went out drinking, and you got drunk off your ass."
Nori frowns. "I thought we agreed that that never happened..."
Rubix shakes his head, "No, no...it's what happened *after* that
that's taboo."
"What happened after..?" Nori decides to drop the subject.
"Nevermind. The point is, Alex isn't an alien. We both know that."
"True," Rubix says, "but if the psychokinetic lunatic believes she's
an alien, we really shouldn't argue with her."
"So you think we should humor the insane Psychic?" Nori presses
impatiently, "What's your point?"
"That *is* my point," Rubix explains. "She's a Psychic, she's insane,
and if she gets ticked off, she's likely to turn violent. You may not
have to worry about retribution from maladjusted Psychics, but the
rest of us do. In case you've forgotten, Psychic attacks HURT."
"Hmmm, good point." Nori strokes her chin in thought and says to
herself, "Clearly, Alex is unstable, and a threat to everyone around
her. If she goes berserk and kills the people in her party, it'll
make the task of finding Smasher that much more difficult. I think
I'd better stick with her for a while, keep tabs on her and make sure
that she stays out of trouble." In a louder voice she announces to
the group, "Okay, I'm going to Dewford!"
Derek raises one eyebrow at her. "Do you always take this long to
make your decisions?"
Nori responds, "Pretty much, yeah."
