Writer's block!] [DAH! Inspiration to !] And thus the chase continued. A few minutes later, Ehm was trapped proverbially speaking. At one end of a corridor was Lynkeru and Yuki, while at the other end stood Jason. All three were looking at Ehm like the Unown held the key to winnign some big prize. Which for those that know, was about 1/26 right. The girls noticed Jason eyeing the Unown like a piece of meat, and were very prepared to take measures to stop him. Jason noticed the girls and the Unown, and brushed the girls off as weak and not worth his energy. The Unown was worth his time though. Ehm was sweatdropping heavily. Hopefully the hunters would focus on each other long enough for it to get away with the help of a well timed temporal halt. The makeshift homing signal it Made using the parts of the two pokeballs used earlier as well as some leftover parts from a few earlier gadgets it made would help Ehm find the boy later. Ehm itself was the receiver, as the Unown had cleverly Made it so. Making itself a miniature Partspace where it could store a few tiny objects was its best invention to date. ------- On land, Jeff was fiddling with the second pokeball on his belt. Technically speaking, the other one was tagged to the Marill riding in the boy's arms, but like his brother's Girafarig, she doesn't spend a lot of time in it. Pushing the button like his dad told him revealed that there was nothing in it, since nothing came out of it. "Nuts," Jeff said out loud, though a couple of worlds he had overheard at the Day Care probably summed up his feelings better. "It's all right Jeff," his father comforted. "You don't catch them all, no matter how hard you try." Mike added, a whistful glaze in his eyes as he remembered a few missed captures ... in pokemon and in love. Jeff pulled on his father's sleeve. "Where are we going dad?" "Well son," he said in his fatherly tone, messing up his son's hair for good measure. "We're going to see Professor Birch. I was curious to see if he had any research around his lab or know of any researchers or breeders that might have something useful to us back home" "Cool." Jeff admitted. Pocus was trailing a step behind, scanning the vacinity for trouble as it is a foriegn land to him, and as well to give the humans some bonding time. Jeff's pack which he had decided to carry wasn't bothering him enough to say anything yet. In the distance, Profesor Birch's Laboratory could be seen, but barely.
