Sand exploded high into the air as the Charizard and its passengers went crashing into the beach. At impact, Maria and Slasher went flying over Charcoal's head and skidded into the sand. Groaning, Maria sat up, hair and uniform full of sand. With a frown, she turned to Slasher, who was stuck head first in the sand. She pulled him up by the tail, which he responded to by yowling his head off. Maria instantly dropped him with a grimace and pushed herself to her feet. "Charcoal, that was definitely not one of your finer moments." The Charizard pushed himself on his haunches with a firey yawn. He didn't seem very interested in Maria's scolding at the moment. Looking skyward, she called him back into a Pokeball and slipped it into her pocket. "Well, at least we're finally off that weird island. It might be awhile 'til Giovanni calls me back into loop though." She looked up at a nearby sign. "Cinnabar Island." Her eyes glowed. "Last time I was here, a lab tried to collapse on me. Maybe I can have a better look around this time.." "Meoooowtthh.." Slasher cried. Maria looked down at her Meowth. "You aren't hurt that bad, and I don't wanna stop at the Pokemon Center for a bump on the head." "MEOOWWWW!!" She sighed. "Hold on..." She pulled a Pokeball out of her pocket. "Bubblegum, help me here." A big pink Chansey zapped out. "Chansey, Chansey!" She waved her stubby arms happily. Then she turned on Maria expectantly. "Chanseyyy!" "Use softboiled on Slasher....he's got a bump on his head and won't stop complaining." "Chanseeyyy!" Maria sighed. "Oh all right." She fished in her pockets until she located a stick of gum. Upon pulling it out, Bubblegum's eyes grew large and sparkly. "Chansey...." She sighed happily taking the stick from Maria and gobbling it up. Satisfied, she turned and scurried over to Slasher. "Chansey?" "Meoooooww...." Slasher wailed. Bubblegum put her little arms on Slasher's head and a little egg shaped energy ball appeared. It dropped onto Slasher and dissolved into sparks. The little Meowth stopped crying. "Meowth..." "Chansey!" Bubblegum just chewed her gum with her Chansey grin. Maria called her back into a Pokeball and looked down at Slasher. "Better now? Let's go." She walked off towards town, Slasher on her heels.
