Spec said, and walked off. She entered the gym and quickly found the gym leader. "Uh.. Hi. I'm here to challenge you for a badge." Kat said quickly, trying to keep track of the three very active Pokémon bouncing around her feet. Erika stared. "Not to be rude, but have you ever heard of a Pokéball? Quite useful devices." Kat rolled her eyes. "I'm not even bothering to explain. Moonbeam, go, let's see what you can do." "Fairy?" "Ivysaur, go!" Kat pulled out her Pokédex again. "What attacks does this thing know.." She muttered. "Okay.. Sing, Pound, Body Slam, and Psychic. Wha?" "You going to give your Pokémon a command anytime today?" Erika asked impatiently. "Uh, right. Moonbeam, Psychic!" Erika raised her eyebrows as the Clefairy began to concentrate, and then released a large blast of Psychic energy, knocking the Ivysaur over. "Ivysaur, return! Tangela, go!" "Moonbeam, come back.. Fireball, wanna give it a shot?" "Pix? Vul Vul pix.." It shook it's head. "Okay then.. Flapper, let's see if you can beat this thing.." "Pidgeyo!" You could barely tell the bird had recently been fried by a Pikachu. "Tangela, Bind!" The Grass Pokémon wound it's strands around Pidgeotto, and bound it up tight. "Flapper, Peck your way out!" He did so. "Tangela, Poison Powder!" Tangela shot out a blast of powder, missing Pidgeotto but causing all the people in the room to cough and cover their faces. "Flapper, finish it with Sky Attack!" He flew high up into the air and straight down, knocking Tangela out. "Flapper, return!" "Tangela, return!" Both Pokémon were pulled back into their Pokéballs. Erika threw Kat a badge. "Thanks!" Kat said, and held out her hand. Erika shook it. "Nice match. Good luck!"
