He climbed out, and so did Flareon and Clefairy. "Ok Porygon, return to normal form," Dan said, then returned Porygon to his Pokéball. Dan pointed his Pokédex at Clefairy and pushed the button to show his techniques. "Clefairy," the Pokédex said. "Knows Doubleslap, Sing, Metronome, and Pound." "Pound?" Dan said. "Hmm, this Clefairy could use a better move." He opened up his backpack and pulled out a TM. "Let's see," Dan said. "Mega Punch...well, it's the best thing I can find. Wish I bought a Body Slam TM at the auction..." Dan pointed the machine at Clefairy and pushed the button on top. A light flashed and the small screen on the side said, "This CLEFAIRY knows 4 techinques. CLEFAIRY cannot learn the new move." "Ok," Dan said. "Clefairy, try to forget your Pound." Clefairy struggled, and finally the screen said: "CLEFAIRY has learned Mega Punch." Dan put the used up TM in a bag that held used-up TMs. He walked into his house and set his backpack down. He walked up the stairs to his room, to get new supplies. He kept spare Potions and Pokéballs in his room, and he took some out and put them in a supply bag. There was a small book on Dan's desk, where he had a record of the Pokémon he had captured. He added Squirtle, Charmander, Clefairy, and Exeggutor to the list. Dan noticed Clefairy still behind him. "Oh," he said, and got a Pokéball for Clefairy. "Fairrryyy!!" Clefairy said, then went to hide. "Don't like going in there?" Dan asked. "Well, I guess it makes sense, after you were caged up by Team Rocket...ok, no Pokéball." "Clefairy!" Clefairy said, coming out of his hiding place. Dan threw his jacket on his bed. "Don't need that anymore," he said as he walked down the stairs, followed by Clefairy. He picked up his backpack and went down to the basement. Down in the basement, Dan's collection of disguises was kept. "Wouldn't do any harm to bring some more," he said. He took some disguises he thought might be useful and stuffed them in his backpack. He then went back up the stairs. Pidgeotto, which Dan kept as a pet, was flying around the house. It landed on Dan's shoulder. "Hi Pidgeotto," Dan said. After Pidgeotto flew off, Dan walked out the door. It was time to start a new adventure.
