Dan asked as he looked around the empty Pokecenter. "It must be starting!" He ran to the front desk. "My, you're in a hurry today," Nurse Joy said. "Is Pidgeot ready yet?" Dan asked her. "Yes, here he is." "Thank you," he said. Dan ran out the door. He saw that the people were flocking to the town square. When he approached Celadon Square, he saw the stands that had Pokémon products for sale, and in the center of the square, the stage for the auction itself. There was a large crowd of people buying from the stands, since the auction hadn't really started yet. Dan bought a Pokémon shirt and a Pokéball pin, which he pinned to his jacket. As he was walking to a stand that sold TMs for Pokémon, he saw a Pikachu riding a Porygon. As he looked closer, he saw a small device around its neck and it was carrying Pokéballs. "Hmm," Dan thought. "That must be Icy, the trainer that was turned into a Pikachu." The Pikachu rode off to the Pokémon center. Dan went up to the TM stand. "Do you have TM13?" he asked. "Yes we do," the man at the stand said, and handed Dan a small device. He paid the money and went to a bench. He called out his Vaporeon, which he had gotten back from Prof. Oak in exchange for Dewgong. "Vaporeon, take this new attack. It's the Ice Beam attack." "Poreon," Vaporeon said. Dan gave Vaporeon the Ice Beam using the TM, but that caused Vaporeon to lose his Leer attack. Suddenly, someone stepped up on the stage. It was Giovanni, leader of Team Rocket! "We'd better be extra careful," Dan said to Vaporeon. "There's sure to be other Rockets here." Giovanni finished his speech and gave the microphone to the mayor of Celadon City. Dan got up and started walking around again, Vaporeon by his side, but now more alert since he knew there were Rockets around... Gotta catch 'em all, Pokemon! "Come right this way!"
