After healing Whisper and Sweetie, Angel left Pewter City, not deciding to fight Brock. Instead, she was going to have a nice, peacf-- "Hey kid!" A professonal-looking boy was leaning against a tree, watching Angel make her way through the forest. "You a Pokemon trainer?" Angel nodded, a hand straying to the Pokeballs on her belt. "Want to battle?" She asked, kind of leering at him. He smiled and said arrogantly, "Yes, but I only battle with bets on the line." Angel looked confused. "What do you mean?" He answered as he threw out a Pokeball, "If I win, you have to give me one of your Pokemon! Go Dugtrio!" Angel looked as though she wanted to cry, but she knew she couldn't back out now. "Go Sweetie!" The ground and normal type Pokemon glared at each other. Angel quickly took the first move. "Eevee, tackle!" Eevee chirped, "Eui!" as it launched itself at Dugtrio. "Dig, Dugtrio!" His Pokemon ducked underground, causing Sweetie's attack to miss. Angel gritted her teeth. "Sweetie, Quick Attack!" This time, Sweetie was faster and got in a good hit on Dugtrio. The trainer yelled, "Dugtrio, Scratch!" Angel winced, knowing if it hit Sweetie, the Eevee would be knocked out. "Sweetie, jump into the air to dodge and use another tackle!" As Dugtrio popped up from underground to attack Sweetie, the Eevee leapt into the air, making the other Pokemon's hit miss. As Dugtrio looked around in confusion, Sweetie nearly headbutted it into the next country. The boy trainer was devastated. "What? How could my Dugtrio lose?" Angel smiled sweetly and recalled Sweetie. "So, what's my prize?" The trainer suddenly smiled sneakily, tossing a Pokeball at her. "Have fun with Storm!" He called as he raced away. Angel decided to not see who Storm was until she made it to Cerulean City. As she drew further and further away from the grey stone city, Angel saw a dot moving quickly towards her. Making a quick decision, Angel scrambled up a tree and watched as the person came into view. -Karana
