Mew was called elusive for a reason. The raven haired girl marched back towards the complex in a very bad mood. Slasher and James stayed a few paces behind, knowing it wasn't good to be near her at the moment. When they reached the complex, night had fallen, and everything was dark. No lights beckoned from inside the building at all. And the electric fence was wide open. "I don't like the looks of this..." Maria carefully stepped around the opening in the fence. Upon reaching the front door she found it wide open. "Now I really don't like this." She walked inside the dark complex and the only sounds were her and her Pokemons' footsteps. She frowned. "Hello?" The only response was the echo. "Is anyone still here!?" "Psy yie yie..." James shook his painful head. Slowly, Maria closed her eyes. "Those idiots...." Then she snapped them back open. "In anycase, Giovanni's not pinning this one on me." She turned to her Pokemon. "C'mon guys, we're outta here." She ran out of the complex towards the woods, James and Slasher quick behind her. They had made it well into the brush when a sudden flash of light in the sky caught Maria's attention. "What in the world?" She blinked as it came hurtling though the air. It grew brighter and brighter, until.....KABBOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!! It impacted in the woods a few feet away in a flaring blast of light and sound. Maria stood, her hair blown away from her face. "Whoa." "Meowth..." "No, it's not a UFO!" Maria started towards it. "Probably a plane or a helicopter or somethin'! In anycase, I wanna see it!" Slasher followed. "Psy...." James stayed right were he was. When Maria finally reached the area where the light had been she had expected some kind of wreckage. But there was nothing there. She kicked at some dirt. "Drat! It's gone!" She looked around the trees. "Maybe it was some intergalactic pebble or something." "Grrrr..." Maria froze in place. "Slasher?" "Meowth?" The little Meowth looked up at her from under her coat. "Meowrr?" He looked just as nervous. "Purrrrr......." Something big and tan leaped from the trees and onto Maria. The Rockets screamed and fell backwards. It felt as though she was being clawed, though there was no pain. She pushed and kicked at the Pokemon, though couldn't get a good look. At last, it gave up and ran away. Shaking all over, Maria quickly jumped to her feet. "James!" She shrieked, not sure which she was calling for, but the Psyduck came waddling over. "Let's get out of this place now!" Gathering up both the Psyduck and the Meowth she ran like the hounds of heck were after her. She ran so fast in fact, that she didn't notice the little blue Ditto she'd accidently dropped on the grass. It looked around itself in fright in the dark. "Dit? Dittoo?" TBC?
