Subject: [PW!][PKMN-Auction] Disruptions in the Soul Date: 6 Apr 1999 05:42:50 GMT From: simynlocke@aol.compadre (SimynLocke) Organization: AOL http://www.aol.com Newsgroups: alt.games.nintendo.pokemon For the first time in a while, he roughed it out, separated from all the luxuries of high ranking positions, leather sofas and company Jets, Simon walked the trail from Saffron to Celadon. And he loved it. His old army twills felt so comfortable, and his bright yellow T-shirt, which always announced his presence with its luminance, made him feel free again. Out of the high ranking ATR Commanding Uniform, Simon walked in his old trainer clothes, passing trainers left and right, with a mindset on his mission. Paperbag over his head, Spike, Mercury and Aqua at his side, Simon was ready for anything. As he approached the towering buildings of Celadon, he quickly rehearsed his mission in his head. Poise as a regular trainer, find Sirius and the other undercovers, look for Rockets holding the Teaching Machines, and bust them. Easy enough, Rockets aren't too bright these days. Simon thought about the few exceptions...... Dreadite. A mystery he couldn't unravel, everytime Simon was in his presence an overwhelming feeling of darkness always came over him, almost forcing Simon to his knees. He truly couldn't be Human, Simon thought. He wondered if the power Dreadite had over him would effect him in any battle, rendering him weakness and turning him on his own Pokemon. But that would never happened, the bond he had with his Pokemon are impermeable. Nonetheless, Simon would never risk it. Dreadite is for Sirius....... Simon had his own agenda, and one other person on his mind. Never had he seen such a transformation, if there was a line between good and evil, this man pole-vaulted a hundred yards to the evil side. Leaving a tear in Simon's physicality, but forcing a even stronger boost of morale and motivation, James G. Otsom, the turncoat was always floating somewhere in Simon's Psychie. To take a man, with a bullet to the face? The thought burned Simon, what could trigger James to such things? Nonetheless.... James had better hoped his bullet was strong enough to kill a man with a will as strong as Simon, for if he knew he was after him, he'd better find a hole deep enough to hide in. Aqua and Mercury, sensing Simon's uneasiness started hugging his sides for encouragement. He smiled at the thought of how his Pokemon could pull him out of such pits of misery and vengefulness, he knelt down to hug them. "Aw damn you guys, what would I do without you?" The static pins of the Jolteon compared to the aquatic scales of the Vaporeon was more than enough to wake him. "Hey..... where'd Spike go?" Simon nervously looked around for his Sandshrew, afraid that one of his best friends was taken from him, that maybe some Rockets had come by and..... "Rewwwwww!" barked Spike. Simon glanced up the road to see Spike confronting a trainer on the road. "What the Hell...." Simon thought, "Spike is getting into fights?" He ran to the scene as quickly as he could, Aqua and Mercury easily beating him. But it was too late.... "Squirtle! Go!" Said the opposing trainer. As soon as Simon got up there, "No No No! He's mine!" Simon said, "I'm sorry if he bothered you." "To late for that Mister, I'm gonna battle him!" "Rew! REWWWW!" Spike yelled back. "Oh, ok." Simon had never seen such anger from his usually docile Sandshrew, what the hell had gotten into him Simon wondered. The youngsters Pokeball landed, and the energy shot out of it in the form of a Squirtle. Spike glared at the little turtle posing in a fighting stance. Such serious behavior was so unusual from Spike, it baffled Simon. The trainer called out for a water gun, and the Squirtle shot out it's beam directly at Spike. Simon was assured that Spikes experience was far greater than any trainer he met on the road, and just watched. As the beam flew towards Spike, he disappeared into the ground. The trainer was baffled, and the Squirtle equal to it's trainers expression. After a couple of minutes, the youngster said, "Hey, your Sandshrew chickened out! I win! That's victory number Twe-" The youngster was silenced as the earth began to split apart. The low rumbling emerged into ear shattering shifts in the plates beneath them. Simon smiled, as Spike conducted a seismic earthquake. All at once, the area directly in front of Simon caved in, causing the Squirtle to be squished together between to large panels of earth. The Squirtle ran out of breath, and limply collapsed. Spike shot out of the earth and landed near the fallen Squirtle to capitalize his one hit victory. "That's my Spike..." Simon said proudly. Mercury and Aqua excitedly lookin at their friend in action. It was quiet for almost a second, the youngster was swearing hard, unable to do anything. But then something happened.... Simon's jaw dropped, and stomach dropped even lower, "It's happening...." Simon whispered. They all stared at one of nature's most wonderful processes. The aura off the sandshrews body quickly changed, emitting a white clean light, which reminded Simon of completely the opposite of the Darkness Dreadite had emitted. The light grew brighter, engulfing Spikes body, and steadily emerged into a larger, more impressive form. The plates on Spikes body disappeared, while his back got taken over by large quills. Powerful talons protruded out of the Pokemon's arms, as its body developed from a sandshrew to the evolutionary form of a Sandslash. The new Spike, lifted up it's Talons and made an impressive form of power, as it flexed it's body displaying it's size. Standing at about 4ft, the taloned and quilled Spike bellowed out in victory. "SLASHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" At the sound of that, the youngster took off, leaving it's Squirtle lying there almost dead. But Simon was too busy admiring the new enforcer that came out of his former Sandshrew. He walked over to Spike, and looked him straight in the eye. The Sandslash stared back menacingly, for a moment there was doubt in Simon's eyes. But all that doubt was erased when the 500-pound Sandslash tackled his loving trainer and gave him the licking of a lifetime. "Hahahaha, stop it Spike! You goofball!" Simon was so relieved his Pokemon hadn't changed, "You're still the same old Spike Simon said. Simon got up, but was still filled with the awe of the evolution process, what stood before him now used to be a 2 and a half-foot fat looking Sandshrew. Now Spike here, a developed Sandsla-- "Squirtle...." From under the ground, the abandoned Squirtle cried out for help. Simon didn't even have to eye the Sandslash, for Spike knew what to do. He dug until he found the Squirtle, who was in very bad condition. "Oh crap... come on guys! We got to get this thing to Celadon Pokemon Center! Squirtle, come'on, just hang in there!" Simon, Spike, Mercury and Aqua took off to the Pokemon Center neart the PKM-Auction. TBC!
