Eeves vaporeon was battling porygon while flareon was facing off against vulcan. Darwin and jolteon were preparing to battle. "Jolteon use thundershock!" and a blast of electricity shot from jolteon, barely missing darwin as he dove for some tall grass. "Jolteon use pin missile, fire for area effect." eeve barked out. "Jolt!" Hundreds of stinging missiles filled the air. Darwin felt a few of them sting him. Darwin ran in a circle through the tall grass hoping to get a clear shot at jolteon from behind. However jolteon was preparing another barrage and darwin had to act now or lose his chance. He shot from the tall grass like a zubat out of hell. Darwins takedown attack rammed into jolteon from the side, flipping it over onto its back. Jolteon expired from exhaustion at eeves feet. Darwin was proud but the force of impact had made his head spin. He was forced to lie down for awhile. Meanwhile vulcan had defeated flareon, his confuse ray disabling the rabbit like flame pokemon. vulcan let out a cry of triumph: "VVVVUUUULLLLL!!!!!". Vulcan strode up to darwin arrogantly. "Vulllpix vull vull pix pix?!"(so are you ready to face me weakling? i'll burn you down like I did your nest!" To which darwin replied "Eeeeveee! Ee ee veee ee! Veeeee eeee eee!"(that ninetails rejected you because you are a stupid, arrogant, selfish, weak, bore, and I think eeve will too. Oh and by the way you only burned down my nest because you where jealous that I won.) Vulpix turned hot even for a fire pokemon and leapt at darwin. But when he came down darwin wasn't there, only the rock he had been sitting on. He impacted the ground at an awkward angle. Darwin used his small but potent claws to slash at vulcans furred flank. Vulcan recovered quickly and used ember on darwin, shooting a small stream of fire at him. "Vulll!" the blast burned darwin and almost ignited the grass but for the quick thinking of eeve who used her vaporeons water gun to put the fire out. Darwin took cover behind a bush with huge leaves. A blast of fire from vulcan half obliterated the bush. An idea struck darwin. He ripped off a leaf from the bush and scrambled onto a large boulder. Vulcan was not inactive during this time however. Several of vulcans ember attacks shot towards darwin, one of them hitting him in the side. Darwin then launched himself from the boulder, using the leaf as an airfoil to control his descent. Panicked, vulcan sent two more ember attacks at darwin, both of which hit darwin on the legs. Darwin landed full force on vulcan, knocking the wind out of the arrogant vulpix. Having the leaf thrown over him suffocated vulcans flames and vulcan fainted. Exhaustion and vulcans fire blasts had taken its toll on darwin though and he too fainted. Eeve, who had been paying more attention to her eevees fight against a wild pidgey, rushed over to the scene of the fight. She recalled vulcan to his pokeball. Eeve thought about putting darwin in a pokeball but decided against it, knowing darwin hated being bound in any way. She dug through darwins backpack and used a revive on him. Darwin perked up immediately. after a few minutes well deserved rest darwin said to eeve "Where to next?" Devin "Hedge" Bartolomeo <TSI> "Yesterday you found a new use for mayonnaise.
