Mack and his Clefairy were trudging along the road to Celadon City, trying
to get there before the end of the pokemon auction. They had ran most of
the way from Vermilion City, and were tired of walking.
"Clefairy? Clefairy clefairy?"
"Well, Clefairy," Mack said, "I guess we could try to get a ride to Celadon.
But I haven't seen a car for a while. Wait, here comes one now." As he
said this, a red sports car started to come down the road. Just as the car
was about to pass, Mack pathetically stuck out his thumb in the direction of
Celadon. The car passed them quickly, and Clefairy turned to Mack angrily.
"CLEFAIRY! Cle cle fairy, fairy clefairy!"
"Whoa, cool down, all right?" said Mack, trying to make the furious pokemon
calm down. "If can't get us a ride, why don't you try?" Just then, a large
multicolored van started to come down the road towards them. "Why don't you
just get us a ride from them?"
Clefairy nodded, and started to wave his fingers back and forth as the van
approached.
"Clefairy, that's not the thumb!" Mack said. "That's..."
At that time, a huge pillar of fire leapt up into the middle of the road,
causing the colorful van to swerve off the road and hit a tree.
"Metronome," Mack finished. As several angry hippies stormed out of the
car, Mack asked, "Can you give us a ride to Celadon?"
The busted hippie van slowly sputter away from the Celadon mansion, where
Mack and Clefairy were standing.
"Well, we're here," said Mack, turning to Clefairy. "Even though we had to
take a "detour" to Area 51..."
"Clefairy clefairy."
"What do you mean, it was my idea? You were the one who got us the ride in
the first place!"
"Clefairy!"
"Well, we're here anyway, even though we had to endure those hippies
offering us that weird tea for hours. Besides, I heard that there's a
Porygon exhibit still showing."
With that, Mack and Clefairy walked into the mansion.
"So, could you program my Porygon like that?" asked Mack. He was talking to
one of the programmers at the Porygon technology display. His Porygon was
sitting on the counter in front of him.
"Well, yeah," said the programmer, "but some of the programs are a bit
confidential. How about the bike transformation program?"
"Sure," said Mack, "that would be great! Also, where can I learn how to
program Porygons?"
"Well," said the programmer, "we do have a book for sale, called Basic
Porygon Programming, would you like to buy it? It's 15 Pokedollars."
"Okay, sure," said Mack, as he placed his money on the table.
"All right then, I can have your Porygon programmed in about 10 or 15
minutes,and here's your book."
Mack put the book in his backpack, and waited for his Porygon to programmed.
He sat down on a bench, next to his Clefairy, who was scowling. "Come on,
Clefairy," Mack said, "I was only angry at you because we had to drive for
hours and hours with dirty hippies..."
Clefairy still sat motionless.
"Come on, don't be so stubborn," Mack said.
Still nothing.
"Fine, I'll take you to Brock's Diner, if it will make you cheer up..."
"FAIRY!" Clefairy leaped up on Mack from behind, filled with glee.
"Clefairy!" Mack said, "How can you be here when you're sitting right..."
"Oh, you found my Pokedoll!" shouted a little girl behind Mack. "Thank you
ever so much!"
"Uh...sure, no problem," he said as the girl ran off.
Later, outside the mansion, Mack walked with Clefairy toward the Celadon
hotel and went inside. Mack got his room key, went into his room, and
collapsed on his bed, tired from the day's exertions. He dreamed good
dreams about finding rare pokemon at the auction, and also a nightmare
involving sock monkeys...
TBC...
(Sorry about the ending, I couldn't think of how to end this)
