From: AzNPiKaPi <aznpikapi@aol.com.angel> Subject: [PW!] Idle Times Date: Monday, April 26, 1999 7:39 PM Wind pulled on the fishing hat she bought awhile back in Celadon City. The muk and "HELLO NASTY" in the front contrasted in black made her look like any bored kid in Pewter City. Not an orphan, a team rocket member, a criminal, a murderer, just some bored kid. She hadn't been in a bunk room with young pokemon trainers in a while. She was changing in a small room in the Viridian City pokemon center, she usually preferred to stalk off by herself in the couch in the lobby. Well, actually just putting on various outfits and being vain was what she was doing. The bunks near her were still empty. Most of the cocky trainers from Pallet Town were going to be here soon, thinking it was fun to stay up late. They'd get a hard dose of reality soon. Wind looked at the small window. It was still raining outside. It would probably rain tomorrow. She didn't want her usual look of a girl that looked 17 not 14 and a hardened gangster. Wind turned around and looked into the mirror again. Hmmm... A "Do You Smell What The Brock is Cooking" T-shirt. A gray Nike sweatshirt and a blue FUBU windbreaker. Black Jncos with cargo pockets. And her oh so beautiful black Muk/Hello Nasty! Fishing hat. That's about right (who said I wasn't allowed to be fashionable?). She looked at her tattered pair of shoes. Wind put her stuff in the generic footlocker in her bunk and walked out to a local mall. Sandshrew curled up and slept on a pillow on top of the footlocker. Nobody looked at her weirdly like when she wore her TR. shirt or her other clothes. The only thing of none innocence was the look in her eyes and scar on her face. She went and bought a pair of Timberlands, the best one she could find that would suit her travel and look dorky. She found the perfect pair, black with an almost vinyl feel to it. It look like a pair of loafs with a pumps it looked like something any other girl her age would wear, but suited to travel, complete with a hidden waterproof shell and soft cushioning. Wind bought them and walked back to the pokemon center slower. Staring at the skies she thought needless thoughts about cars, guys, football games, enjoying the relaxation of her mood. Wind was still a little depressed but was enjoying some of her stressless time at the moment. Walking into the pokemon center with a bag of Chinese food a group of 10 cocky boys and girls walked in from pallet town. She smiled it was half an hour before curfew. Typical of them. She sat down and ate her Chinese food in her bunk. Listened to the radio and thought happy thoughts. She didn't worry about her past and future now, now it was just time to mellow. "Hey you!" Wind got up a bit. "Yeah you," A blued haired girl with her other four friends were looking at her. The boys were standing at the door. "I challenge you to a pokemon battle. I've been winning battles all day, I feel lucky maybe I'll beat the crap out of you too." Wind smiled the light was dim over her. She put a her black trenchcoat and got of the the bunk, now she looked intimating enough to scare someone out of the alleyway. She stood up, the shoes increasing her height a bit, and stepped out of the shadows. "Let's go outside, and let's get it on!" She said. The pallet townies stepped back a bit, the scar over her left eye though small, made her look old and experienced. The girl trying to be fiece, " I went to the pokemon tech program you know?" Wind circled her. "I went to pokemon island you know?" She was scaring the little kids now. "Maybe this wasn't such a good idea Linda." A boy with a high-pitched voice said. "Shut up Nigel." She muttered. "Two pokemon each! If I win it's 20 pokebucks." "No make it 10..." The girl didn't want to lose her cash. "No then let's spice it up shall we? You beat me too and you'll get 30 pokebucks and a pokemon of ours. You lose we get the same." The boy looked scared suddenly. Wind just smiled. "Ok." "Charmander I choose you!" Linda said. Wind thought the Gyarados would just be too cheap. "Wartortle I choose you!" Wind yelled. "Wartortle water gun now! Now tackle it!" The Charmander never stood a chance. "I choose you Ratata!" The girl say in dismay. Wind started to feel sorry for her. She probably hadn't earned her first badge yet. But then again she only had one, but she was much more experienced. "Pidgey I choose you! Quick attack!" Wind chose her weakest pokemon. "Ratata Tackle!" Pidgey got hit once. "Fly out of it's reach now sand attack!" The rattata ran around helplessly. "Pidgey return. Don't get too cocky, you weren't ready for that match." The other boy looked away. "Get a little practice all of you and don't get into battles like this one, next time you won't find someone so forgiving." Wind just walked back to her bunk and went to bed, they were still talking outside. She'd deal with them tomorrow. When I first saw you I already knew There was something inside you Something I thought I would never find I look at you looking at me Now I know why they say the best things are free Gonna love you boy you are so fine Angel of Mine
