I nodded "Ladies first," I said smugly. I already knew I had the advantage here. She frowned. "Ok, fine. GO Tangela!" The pokeball broke open and a pile of vines with eyes and feet appeared. I carefully decided which pokemon to choose. "GO Pyro!" My Ponyta appeared. Erika gritted her teeth. "okay Tangela! Constrict now!" Vines wrapped around Pyro and then he took a little damage. "Pyro! Fire spin!" I saw Pyro's eyes begin to glow as the fire in his body gathered, he opened his mouth and breathed out a huge tornado of flame!" Tangela gave a defeated cough the fell to the ground. "Tangela Return." Suddenly Pyro stiffened, His flames turned bright white, which then spread towards the rest of his body, the glow began to change shape, growing larger, longer and stronger. My pyro had just evolved into Rapidash. "Alright! Pyro evolved! Return" Erika pulled another pokeball off of her belt. "GO Ivysaur!" "Go Feathers!" My Pidgey appeared. her Ivysaur appeared. they faced eachother. "Feathers! Fly up high!" Pidgey took off and began circling the ceiling. "Ivysaur! Leech Seed!" a seed shot out of Ivysaur's plant and missed Feathers. Feathers dove down and smacked Ivysaur. He vine whipped my bird. Feathers was weak. "Feathers Return!" in a flash of red Feathers retreated. "Go Talon!" In a flash of brown wings my Fearow appeared. "Feeeaaarrrroooowwww!!!!!" "Talon! Drill Peck!" Talon didn't want to use Drill Peck so it used mirror move instead. A leech seed shot out of it's beak and implanted itself in Ivysaur. "Ivysaur! Leech Seed!" The seed planted in Talon. Ivysaur shuddered as some of his energy darined into Talon. "Talon, Agility!" I didn't want him to use agility but I was hoping to trick him into using drill peck. It worked! Talon hopped over and pecked Iysaur into a defeat. "Return!" "Talon, Return!" I couldn't afford a loss with two (or possibly more) of my pokemon not listening. one of the pokeballs on my belt started to wiggle. "what the...?" I took it off, it was Feathers. "Go Feathers." i threw it down, He was in the middle of evolving into a Pidgeotto. When he finished, I sent him into battle. "Go Pikachu!" a little electric rodent appeared. "Kachu!" uh oh. "Hey wait a minute that's an electric type pokemon." She grinned. "yeah I know." "b but your a grass trainer." she shook her head. "no rule against having pokemon outside your specialty. You should know all about that Jake." I began to feel a little nervous. She was right of course there wasn't a rule against it, and I did frequently catch pokemon that had no flying in them whatsoever. i growled. "Feathers! Gust!" Feathers flapped his wings creating a tornado of wind. "Piggigigigigigigigiigigigigigig......OOOOOTTTTOOO!!!!" The tornado lifted Pikachu up a whirled him around, and around then he landed on the floor. WHUMP! "Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" ZZZAPPP! Feathers was down. "Return! Go Pyro!" my Newly evolved Rapidash came charging out of his pokeball. "NEIGGGH" "Pyro, Stomp!" Pyro reared back and stomped on the mouse. "chuuuu..." "Pikachu! quick attack!" "Pi...Ka.....CHUUUUU" WHAP. he hit Pyro square in the muzzle. "Pyro! Submission!" Pyro charge forward and hit Pikachu, sending him flying back a bit. "Pikachu, Thunder Wave!" "KACHUUUUU" Zzzap!" Pyro fell over, paralized, "Pyro, submission!" Pyro struggled to get up but failed. "Pikachu! thunder shock!" ZZAP! pyro was electrocuted."Pyro, flame thrower!" This time Pyro succeded, and Erika had a roasted mouse. "Pikachu! Return!" "Pyro! Return!" Erika handed me a Rainbow Badge, shook my hand and then turned to heal her pokemon.
