Brock “Brinnnnnng” went the video phone at Professor Oak’s lab. “I wonder who that could be,” said Oak as he got up from his work and pushed the button to receive the income call. The image of Kodiak popped up on the screen. “Well hello, Kodiak its good to see you. Where are you calling from.?” “I’m in the Pewter City Pokemon Center,” replied Kodiak. “Oh, have you already defeat Brock?” “No, I just got here.” “Have you caught any pokemon then?” “Yes, two. A Diglett and when I caught him Nido evolved.” “Already, you must be a good trainer. What about the other one you caught?” “Thats why I called. I caught a Cubone just out of Virdian Forest. The pokedex said they couldn’t be found around here.” “A Cubone. Why, there almost-extinct and only found in the Pokemon Tower.” “Well, this one wasn’t.” “Maybe someone left it there.” “I don’t think so Professor.” “Well I will look in to the matter for you.” “Thank you, I’ve got to go. By Professor.” “By Kodiak” Kodiak turned of the phone with the feeling that Oak didn’t believe him. Kodiak put this out of his mind for he had to worry about getting his first badge. He went over to the nurse’s desk and got his pokemon. After that he headed right for the gym. As soon as he walk in a guy stand by the door yells out. “Yo! Champ in making! State your name and step on to the arena.” “My names Kodiak.” “The next pokemon battle is for a Boulder Badge. The challenger Kodiak will face gym leader Brock. Both will use only two pokemon. Begin.” Yells the announcer. “You won’t beat my rock pokemon. Go Geodude,” says Brock. “We’ll see. Go Cubone” replied Kodiak. “Tackle, Geodude. “Bone Club, Cubone. Geodude went forward for the hit and hit Cubone hard. Cubone’s bone fly’s out of his hand and goes up in the air and comes down hitting Geodude on the head causing him to fall into Cubone. They both fall and hit there heads on the ground knocking both out. Trainer and Gym leader look at each other in shock. “Cubone, return. Nido go.” “Geodude, return. Onix go. You wont get lucky again, Kodiak. Onix Bind.” Before Kodiak can give a command Onix Binds Nido and starts to crush him. A drop of poison falls out of Nido’s horn and lands on the rock snake. Onix yells in pain and losses his hold on Nido. “Nido, Tackle.” Yells Kodiak when Nido gets free. The Nidorino hits Onix but it dose not seem to affect him. “Ha, you will have t do better than that to hit my Onix.” yells Brock. There has to be a way to defeat him thinks Kodiak. Then an idea hits him. “Nido come here.” Nido ran over and Kodiak whispers in his pokemon’s ear. “Onix, Bide.” “Nido, horn attack.” Onix just stay put and gets hit. “Nido do it again and do what I told you.” Nido hit Onix again and landing on his back. As Nido lands Onix lifts his head and throws it toward Nido. “Nido, do it now.” Just be for Onix hits him, Nido jumps to the side. Onix his himself and yells in pain. He raises his head up and smacks it on the rafters of the ceiling and crashes to the ground defeated. “Yes, Nido we won a Boulder Badge.” “Nice move Kodiak, hears your Badge. You really are a good trainer.” Later after a short stop at the Pokemon Center. Kodiak is in the forest walk toward Mt. Moon. When he heard some voices come from father down the path. “Had over you pokemon, old man.” “No, I won’t.” “You don’t have no choice.” What a pokemon thief I have to help.
