From: SilvrrSky <silvrrsky@aol.com> Subject: [PW!] Meeting Erika Again Date: Monday, April 19, 1999 7:54 PM Ha! Pompously big words no more! Well..with the exception of amiable and pallid, and maybe befuddled..But there are context clues there..Heh he..Yea.. ----------------------------------- ..::Dramatic Flashback::.. Erika's eyes misted over, droplets of salty liquid collecting at the corners of them, and they twinkled in the waning sunlight like green gems. She extended a hand in such a simple manner it almost tore Christy's heart in two. With a solemn sigh, Christy closed her eyes, placing a slender hand over Erika's. "Christy..You don't know how much we will miss you..." Erika whispered, sweeping a tear from it's perch upon her cheek while forcing herself to hold in the others that were threatening to fall. Christy's nose itched with the burning sensation of impending tears, that were also trying to escape her eyes. Her charming, lilting voice turned coarse and she managed to rasp shakily "I wish this never happened. I'm so sorry I must leave." She reopened her eyes, that were now cloudy, and visiblity was limited. She felt as though she were looking through foggy glass at Erika's pale, somber face, as well as the other Celadon City Gym Trainers. Even with the pallid tint of her skin, Erika still stood elegantly with her modest beauty. Excluding the tears and her snowy shade, Christy knew this was the way she would always remember Erika.. ..::End Dramatic Flashback ^_^::.. This haunting memory was drifting through Christy's mind as she stared at the Celadon City Gym. Emotions of the departure flooded her senses, as tears flooded her eyes just as swiftly. Not only did this thought revitalize the pain of the goodbye, it also made her think of her lost Saura, the very reason why she had to leave. With a determined cough, she pushed the memories away as she trodded up the steps of the Gym, keeping her mind occupied with the flowery landscape around her. Arriving at the clear doors, she paused, weighing her options. She could spare this pain by leaving now, to head for Pewter. But she was already in Celadon..And her very soul ached to see Erika again. Decision made, she stepped into the Gym. She was immediately greeted by a mixture of dainty, floral perfumes wafting through the spacy environment of the lobby. Assortments of plants stood fresh for adornment. She embraced the feeling of comfort that washed over her. "Hello, may I help you?" an older girl called to Christy while stepping closer. Christy recognized the girl on sight, and she couldn't stop the smile that snuck across her face. "Yes, I'd like to see Erika." Christy responded, still smiling at her secret. The trainer looked Christy over, a puzzled look crossing her features. Brows turning downward in deep thought, the girl turned and pointed a finger absently to a door near the back. "Right..that way.." she murmured, still pondering why the blonde looked so familiar, and continued to watch her as she skipped to the door, a playful smirk upon her face. Shrugging the befuddled feeling off, the trainer continued her work. ----------------------------------- "Erika? Hello?" Christy's curious voice echoed around the stadium. Wide blue eyes scanned the room before catching sight of a young woman, crouched over the bed of colorful flowers that she was tending to. Looking up, the raven-haired girl amiably smiled before standing and making her way to Christy. "I'm Erika. Very pleased to meet you!" she chirped, lifting her hand in a welcoming gesture. Christy stared at it, and, swamped with a quick wave of painful recollections, felt a lump form in her throat. Shaking the feeling off, she took the hand to her own and shook it heartily. "Nice to..see you again!" Christy grinned broadly, watching Erika's reaction to her words with new-found delight. Emerald eyes grew wider, lips parted, brows raised. Erika held the bemused look of an astonished child. "Christy?!" Erika suddenly exclaimed, her voice sprightly high-pitched, so much so that Christy cringed with a giggle. Erika bounded forward and embraced Christy with such a massive hug it left her winded. "I've..missed you alot!" she managed to squeak through Erika's vicelike grip, before adding "My...Dratini couldn't hug me tighter!" TBC soon!!!! (And one more ! ) ----------------------------------- Rather uneventful, I know, but I wanted to show a quick glimpse their friendship! The next one..They will battle! Whoo hoo! Action, action! Must I always add a comment before and after my stories? Yes! I enjoy talking to myself..And that's perfectly healthy...^_^ Silver Sky says: --Never knock on Death's door; ring the bell and run (he hates that). --Pray for whirled peas. --If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried.
