He looked around for the gym leader. ----- "Seismic Toss, Machoke!" The Machoke grabbed the Victreebel, jumped, and slammed it into the ground. "Victreebel, return! Good job, trainer! Fighting pokemon usually aren't that great against Grass pokemon. Here's your Rainbow badge!" She handed him a small badge. "Good luck with the Pokemon League." The trainer walked away to continue his journey. It was then when Erika noticed Mindbender. ... alone. ----- Erika cried through the whole thing hearing what happened to RK. Mindbender could say nothing to help her. "I knew <sniff> I knew something would happen, but I did.. didn't think I should have stopped him. Now I'll hate myself for not doing it." Mindbender shook his head. "If anything, I'm more to blame. I couldn't protect him either. The only thing I can do for him now is honor the last request he made." This made Erika break into a new bout of tears. "I didn't mean THE last, I meant his.. eh, latest! Yes, his latest request." Erika just cried. "I know what you meant, it just struck me wrong." "Erika please, take this. He wanted you to have it." Mindbender took out a small box and handed it to Erika. Teary-eyed, she took it. mindbender took off his robe and tossed it in a trashcan. This made Erika wonder to the point that she stopped crying. "What are you doing?" "I'm getting rid of this disguise." He took off the belt and handed it to Erika. "These are my pokemon. Take care of them for me." Erika was confused now. "Why? Are you quitting?" Mindbender nodded his head. "Yes. Take care of these poekmon until RK gets better. He'll know what to do. One of them is a Clefairy that I've been teaching how to speak. He can help you with the others. For me, I'm off." "What?! Where are you going to go?" "Mount Moon. I don't know why, I just want to climb to the top and stay there. Maybe if someone needs me, they'll know where to find me." "Mindbender, you can't just run off! Why?!" "I just don't want to stay here anymore. I want... I don't know exactly what I want. Good bye Erika." His body started shimmering. "Wait, what do I..." Too late, he vanished using a Teleport. Erika looked down at the belt and the small box. She opened it.... ----- Erika closed the gym for the day. Her assistants never saw her happier for some reason. A while ago, that Alakazam had her crying, now she was esstatic. Erika knew why. She just had to wait and have faith. --- OK, big surprise, I'm withdrawing Mindbender!! Why? Because he violates some rules. He's too powerful and because of his attacks, he'll always have the advantage in a non-pokemon fight. I'll updates RK's WG to reflect Mindbender and his current state of affairs, but for now, he's an NPC character who resides at Mount Moon, so if you're ever up that way, have fun with him!
