Subject: [PW!][PKMN-Auction] The Charismatic Charmander: Charmy! Date: 8 Apr 1999 01:25:08 GMT From: yosh1121@aol.com (Yosh1121) Organization: AOL http://www.aol.com Newsgroups: alt.games.nintendo.pokemon Oz hefted the still unconscious Charmander delicately. It was hard carrying the small fire lizard with one arm, but Oz was careful. The charmander was definitely not simply sleeping, as the auctioneer had said. Many signs of a harsh battle all over the little Charmander's body, and his breathing was slightly ragged. He started out at a brisk pace towards the giant Celadon Pokécenter, making sure not to jostle the injured Pokémon. Sandshrew spotted Oz through the crowd, and soon joined him to the Pokécenter. When Oz finally got to the Pokécenter, he found that it was crammed almost as full as the busy Celadon Square outside. He quickly made his way over to an extremely long looking line and prepared for a long wait. "Oooh! That's gotta be the most kawaii Hitokage I've ever seen!" a small passing girl squealed. "Wha?" Oz asked, baffled. "What're you talking about?" "Oh, sorry, just a bit of otaku baka-ness, nevermind." the girl said as she continued on past. Oz blinked. ----- Loooooong time later.... The extremely busy Nurse Joy returned Oz's Pokémon, uttered something about good luck, and scuttled back to the line. He counted his Pokémon. He had Sandshrew, Katt, Kitty-chan((this is assuming that Primus did consent to Oz buying him)), and now the new Charmander. Exiting the Pokécenter, he found it to already be late afternoon. He made his way over to a secreted alley next to the Pokécenter and with a blast of red light, he let the Charmander out of its Pokéball. The Charmander looked around, confused, as Oz used his Pokédex to check Charmander's stats. "Hmm....oh, looks like you already got a name," Oz observed. "Charmy? That's a nice name..." Oz slowly approached Charmy, attempting to befriend the new addition to his group, "Hey, Charmy..." Charmy was upset. Jeff was no where to be seen, and now there was this new guy approaching him. Charmy blinked at the strange boy, and proceeded to toast him ALA Charmander in "Charmander: the Stray Pokémon" Oz fell back down, burnt to a crisp. "Oookay....Sandshrew, you try," he coughed. Sandshrew refused, and hid behind the flamed Oz. Charmy started calling out in distress, crying for his master. "Sandshrew, what's he saying?" Oz questioned, recuperating, as he sat up and dusted himself off, and Sandshrew soon translated in a way Oz could understand. "Previous owner?" He checked his Pokédex, "His previous owner was a man by the name of Jeff. Charmy looked at Oz at the sound of his previous master, "Char?" "I'm guessing Team Rocket didn't exactly take this Pokémon from a willing master," Oz sighed regretfully, "we're gonna have to find Jeff." "Shrew?" "Charmy, I need you to understand something. I know that you want to get to Jeff, and I'm fully willing to help, but first I have to know the basics. I mean, me and Sandshrew don't even know where the Rocket's first picked you up, much less where he is right now." "Charmander!" "What?" Oz translated the rough idea from his years of experience with Sandshrew, "How would you know where he is?" "Char charmander!" He had to turn to Sandshrew for help on that one, and Sandshrew quickly chittered back to him what the Charmander had said. "Psychic powers?" Oz asked doubtfully, but the auctioneers words faintly came back to him, "Well, where is he exactly?" Charmy muttered a nervous negative. He just felt Jeff nearby in the city, somehow. He wasn't sure where, though. "All right, umm...that's OK," Oz thought hard, "well, there is the Porygon thing going on later tonight. All Pokémon trainers are sure to be there. We can see if we can find him there!" "Char!" Charmy agreed. The boy seemed nice enough, and willing to help. With Oz's help, he ought to find Jeff in no time. Charmy described Jeff to Oz and Sandshrew and they set out towards the airfield, always scanning the crowd for any sight of Charmy's owner. TBC? ~~~~~ Ah, yes, the rabid Yosh has finally responded. It's a miracle. Sorry for any delay, I had to be dragged off to practice where the coach made us go over the same three plays for two hours....eee....probably serves as an excuse for any mistakes in this post... Yosh ---------- Note: Beware the rabid Yosh.
