Gohan moved close enough to see, and a roar erupted from within. His eyes widened. "I know that figure!" He whipped out a Pokéball. "That Onix is MINE!" >> He ran as fast as he could towards the inside of the cave. But when he neared it, he screeched to a halt. He looked skyward, and found hordes of Zubat and Golbat clinging to the ceiling. Gohan sweat-dropped. He thought for a second, then firmly walked straight to the center of the cave. He put his fear aside, and walked towards the hulking figure. The Onix noticed him, and reared up, and roared. Gohan stared, unafraid. He pulled out a Pokéball, and grinned. "DRATINI, goooo!" The dragon materialized from the read beam of light. "Dra? Dra-tini?" Gohan nodded. The Onix, looking down at it's much smaller opponent, roared once more. Intimidated, Dratini looked back at his trainer with a forlorn look on his face. He grinned again. "Don't worry, you can handle this guy." Once more he grew serious. "Dratini, Surf attack!" The Onix reacted. He reared up and dove towards the Dratini and used his Slam attack. Gohan cringed. "I hope Dratini can still fight..." Sure enough, the dragon appeared. Hurt, but still able to fight. From Dratini's mouth came a burst of water, aimed at the body of the rock snake. Gohan gasped. "Oh man, Onix better not have fainted! That water may be too strong for Onix to handle!" Either way, he threw the Pokéball. It hit it's target, and drew Onix within it's beam. "Whew...it's still okay." The Pokéball shook numerous times over. Finally, after the intense shaking stopped, the Pokéball sounded shut. "All right, Dratini! I got an Onix!" Happily Gohan ran over to the Pokéball and picked it up. He held Dratini, and congratulated him. "Good job, pal. You just helped catch my fifth Pokémon!" "Dra-tini!" He recalled Dratini into his Pokéball, and ran outside to Fox, who was muttering to himself, sitting on a rock. "Hey, Fox, look what I got!" With that, Gohan laughed and tossed his newest Pokémon on the ground. Onix emerged and Fox scrambled backwards, falling off the rock in fear. Gohan laughed. But soon human voices could be heard, probably caused by seeing the Onix towering above the ground. Gohan sweatdropped. He recalled Onix and helped Fox up. "Gohan, we don't want anyone to know that we're carrying our Pokéballs! He better get outta here!" With that, the two trainers headed off towards the dense foliage they spotted just over the horizon.
