Derrick noticed him come in and said gloomily, "You must be curious as to what pokemon is no longer with us." "Yes, go on," Dern said eagerly. "Well, it's Exeggcute.." "What!? Dern said confused, "I see Exeggcute right there. Dern pointed next to the body." "Look a little closer...." Dern examined Exeggcute carefully. "Looks normal to me," he said. "Not very observant, are you? Count them, there's five, but there's supposed to be six! On the way here Exeggcute was helping carrying you to the pokemon center. The egg with the crazy personality was supposed to stay with me, but it bounced off to play. A wild Raticate came along. Seeing the lone egg, it took a bite before I could chase it away. Derrick uncovered the egg. There were cracks all over it and most of the insides were gone. "What will happen to the remaining eggs?" asked Dern. With out the egg, they will become 1/6 less powerful. If they evolve, there could be defects. Some people have reported to have one-legged Exeggcutors. --------Some Time Later After Funeral------ "Today is the Pokemon Auction, but I don't feel like going." Derrick said to himself. "Many trainers will be there so I'll just raise my pokemon. Derrick headed out and on his way, he ran into Lt. Surge, the electric pokemon gym leader. "May I battle you?" Derrick asked.
