From: Kid Vid2 <kidvid2@aol.com> Subject: [PW!] Battling Brock Date: Monday, May 31, 1999 4:33 PM Dustin wandered through the forest, hoping to chance upon the path he had originaly taken that, by some strange twist of fate, led him to Celadon City, and to the Pokemon Auction. He had been staying in a hotel for the past while, training his Pokemon and battling whoever decided to challenge him. But now, it was time to head off to Pewter City and get his first Pokemon trainer's badge, the Boulder Badge. Dustin mulled over his strategy as he walked through the forest, then thought of an idea that would save him the trouble of getting lost. He released Tekno, his Porygon. "Hey, Tekno, you know Teleport. Can you teleport us to Pewter City?" The Porygon looked at its owner, and started to glow. All of a sudden, the area around Dustin changed. He had been teleported to Pewter City. "Thanks, Tekno!" Dustin said as he recalled his Pokemon, and walked over to Pewter Gym. "Here goes nothing!" Dustin said to himself as he swung open the large doors of the gym. He noticed that the Gym was fairly dark. A lone figure was sitting on the other side of the gym. "Have you come to challenge me in a Pokemon battle for the Boulder Badge?" a voice rang out. "Yes I have." Dustin replied. "Very well then. Prepare to have your Pokemon squashed like bugs!" All of a sudden, all the lights turned on. "Each trainer may use only two Pokemon," was heard from the loudspeaker. "I choose... Geodude!" Brock said as he tossed a Pokeball, which opened to reveal a Geodude. "Oh yeah? Well, I choose... Sentri!" "Geodude! Use Tackle!" Brock shouted. The boulder-esque Pokemon charged at the Wigglytuff, slamming directly into its stomache. The Wigglytuff bounced off a few walls, then landed right-side-up a few meters away from the Geodude. "Oh yeah? Sentri, use Minimize!" Dustin shouted. The rubbery Wigglytuff easily shrank to 3/4 of it's original size. "Hrmph. Geodude, use Rock Throw!" Brock yelled. His Geodude picked up a nearby rock and threw it at the Wigglytuff, but missed. "Ha! Sentri, use Metronome!" Dustin commanded. The Wigglytuff waved its arms back and forth several times, and then bounced into the air, hovered over the Geodude, and released a large wave of water from above. Sentri had used Waterfall! The Geodude instantly fainted. "Augh!" Brock shouted angrily. "Geodude, return! Go, Onix!" Brock threw another Pokeball, and an Onix appeared. "This shouldn't be too hard. Sentry, return! Go, Zaryon!" Dustin shouted as he threw another Pokeball, from which a Jynx appeared.. "Onix! Use Bind!" Brock ordered his Onix. The large rock Pokemon headed toward the Jynx. "Zaryon! Hit it before it hits you! Ice Punch!" Dustin shouted. Zaryon ran at the Onix and punched it, freezing it. "Yes! I won!" Dustin shouted and recalled his Jynx.
