He looked at the clock, 10:00 am. "Nooo!" yelled Brett. He shot out of bed, and ran down stairs. He quickly put on his shoes, and ran out to Tauros. He got on, "Giddy up! We're going to Pallet Town!" yelled Brett. Tauros broke into a mad run. A few minutes later they reached Pallet Town. Professor Oak's lab was on top of a large hill. Brett got off Tauros, and walked up. He knocked on the door. The door opened. Professor Oak was standing there. "Who are you?" he asked. "Hi. I'm Brett, I live south of pallet. I heard I could get a pokedex, and possibly another pokemon from you?" asked Brett. "You are correct, Brett. Come right in." said Oak. "Sit down, I'll go get you a pokedex" said Oak. Brett sat down on a sofa. A few minutes later Oak came back. He handed Brett a Pokedex, and 5 pokeballs. "What pokemon would you like?" asked Oak. "Uhh...." Brett paused. He didn't know any other pokemon, only types. "What you think is best for me" finished Brett. Oak nodded, and walked off. A few minutes later he returned again. "This is a Machop" said Oak. He held out a pokeball. "He's a fighting type pokemon. Machop is very Agile, Strong, and Intellegent. He has: Low Kick. Karate Chop. Submission. Seismic Toss" said Oak. "Thank You" said Brett. He took the pokeball, and returned to Tauros. "Go Machop!" said Brett. Machop materialized. "Cool!" said Brett, upon seeing Machop. "Machop!" said Machop. He jumped up onto Tauros. "He IS intellegent" said Brett. They rode off towards Viridian. Tauros was really running fast. They flew by a trainer. He threw out a rope, and stopped them. "Wanna battle?" asked the man. "Well, since i'm mad that you stopped me I can't resist beating you!" said Brett. The man had a net, possibly for catching bugs. "Go Scyther!" "Go Machop!" said the trainers. "Machop, Karate Chop!" said Brett. "Scyther, Double Team!" said the Bug Catcher. Scyther became more agile, but Machop, being intellegent saw where he would dodge to. Scyther was smashed and kicked in about 9 places. "Strike back with Slash!" said BC. "Finish him with Seismic Toss!" yelled Brett. Scyther ran at Machop. Machop closed his eyes. Scyther became a large black ball. He flew up into the air, and came smashing down. The ball cracked, leaving a half-dead Scyther. "Scyther, return. Go Pinsir!" said the man. Machop leapt at the pinsirs head. "Vicegrip!" said BC. Machop was caught in 2 powerful pinsirs. He was being crushed. "Return Machop! Go Tauros!" said Brett. "Take Down!" "Gullitone!" said the trainers. The Gullitone missed. Tauros broke into an all out run. He was kicking up tons of dirt as he charged. He lept into the air, and came flying down on the pinsir. It fell unconscous, and Tauros was only minorly injured from recoil. "Dang. Well, I guess you win. Heres some cash, its a mile to Viridian" said the Bug Trainer. Tauras grabbed Machop, and jumped on to Tauros. "Giddy Up! Lets go to Viridian!" said Brett. Tauros began to run at an insane speed. They soon reached Viridian City. Tauros stood up on the running Tauros, and leapt off. He landed at the pokecenter door. He rushed in. "Nurse Joy! Can you heal my Machop? I think a few of his rib bones are broken!" said Brett. "Sure!" said Joy. A squad of Chanseys took Machop on a strecher. "How did it happen?" asked Joy. "He was fighting a Pinsir, and got Vicegriped. I'm suprised a Bug Catcher has good pokemon!" said Brett. Nurse Joy went back to healing pokemon. Brett took a small nap on a sofa. An hour later Brett awoke. He rushed up to Nurse Joy. "How is my Machop?" asked Brett. "He'll live. He broke one of his right ribs. We've replaced it with a steel rib. He should be ready to fight in a little bit!" said Nurse Joy. She was right. Machop came flying out of the ER, into Bretts arms. "MACH!!!!" said Machop. "Hey! You're ok!" said Brett. Machop and Brett walked out to Tauros. They rode off towards Pewter City. TBC????
