Natasha grinned. "Finally! That's enough cave for a lifetime, thank you..." The first stop, of course, was the Pokécenter...that 'little encounter' with the mob of Clefairies had probably done a number on all Pokémon involved. While her Pokémon were healed, Natasha sat down to read a few trainer's magazines. Most were several months old, but one this month's. She flipped through it...most articles were along simply basic tips. One, however, wasn't... The first page showed several Pokémon in cages. The title was in large red print: "Starter Pokémon Scandal!" Charmander, Pidgey...CUBONE?! Natasha's eyes widened as she looked the picture over. This was, without a doubt, her Cubone. The skull was identical, down to a small scratch above the left eye socket. She turned the page. "In early April, a major Pokémon aution was held in Celadon City. For the most part, it overshadowed a Pokémon convention held at the same time in the Shopping Center. However, investigators are now saying that the attention should be on the smaller event. "Pokémon purchased on the fifth floor, at a "Starter Pokémon" counter, may have been abused, ranging from being kept in cages without food for days to severe beatings during training." The article rambled on for another page or so... "Several people who purchased Pokémon from this section have reported problems ranging from minor disobedience to severe, often causing poor performance in battles. The Pokémon were sold for $500, including their own Pokéball, and a spare. "If you purchased a Pokémon as described above, please contact the nearest Pokécenter for advice, and possible treatment." --Natasha V.
