Misty returned very quickly, after healing her Pokémon in a back room. "Okay, two on two this time." Natasha noted that Misty had one less Pokéball with her. Shrugging, she moved to one end of the pool. "Go, STARYU!" The starshape Pokémon materialized on floating mat. Natasha paused. Fire was weak to water. So was ground. "Go, Weedle!" "Yuu...STARYU!" "Ee Weedle..." "Staryu, Harden and Tackle!" "Okay Weedle...go for String Shot, NOW!" Staryu paused on the mat, his shell growing slightly harder. Before he could jump, Weedle shot a sticky white string at him. Staryu wiggled a little and fell into the water. It quickly emerged, most of the string gone. Weedle didn't have time to respond until he was knocked into the water. The caterpillar pulled himself to the surface and back onto the pad, gasping. Staryu returned to his pad. "Staryu, Water Gun him into the water!" "Weedle, stay put and String Shot yourself to the mat!" Weedle tilted his head back and sprayed the string over his body. It quickly took hold ont the pad. Staryu quickly did a full-force Water Gun. Weedle squealed, hidden by the spray. When the water stopped, Weedle was still stuck to the mat. "What?! Staryu, Tackle him into the water!" "Hold on, Weedle...Poison Sting!" Weedle braced himself as Staryu jumped. Both trainers held their breath... Weedle's main stinger sunk inself into Staryu's crystal-like center. Staryu fell back into the water. It quickly scrambled back up onto his mat, wobbled once...and passed out. "All right! Weedle, return! Go...Clefairy!" "Oh no...Staryu, return! Go, STARMIE!" Both Pokémon appeared at the same time. "Starmie, don't waste time! Bubblebeam!" "Growl NOW!" Just as the stream of bubbles was released, Clefairy Growled angrily. Starmie appeared slighty nervous. Clefairy was hit, but managed to grab the pad before falling into the pool. She pulled herself up, a little dazed. "Okay, Clefairy, Sing and then Pound!" "Tackle it, Starmie!" The double-starfish launched itself at Clefairy. Just before it hit, Clefairy's lullaby took effect. Starmie landed in front of the little fairy, sleeping soundly. Clefairy took the opportunity to whack Starmie twice before it woke up. Starmie promptly retreated to his pad, somewhat dazed. "Harden!" "Sing again!" Starmie's shell had started to harden when it fell asleep again. Clefairy needed no prompting. She took a lofty jump to Starmie's pad and Pounded the crud out of it until it finally fainted. "YEESSSSS!!! Clefairy, return!" Natasha ran around to the other side of the pool. "I can't believe it! I got another badge..." "Yeah, you did. Congrats." Misty sighed and handed the Cascade badge to Natasha, along with the Bubblebeam TM. "Prrriiii! Toge prri!" "Aww...he's so *cute*! Can I hold him?" Misty shrugged and handed Togepi to Natasha. She held him up at arm's length. "Hi, you! You're so cute! I bet you know that, though..." "Prrrriiiiiii!! Priiii!" Misty smiled as Natasha handed Togepi back. "Wow...I've never seen one of those before..." Misty grinned proudly. "He's my Togepi, and he's the only one!" "Well...thanks, and good luck with your...Togepi!"
