From: Ensign CJ <ensigncj@aol.com> Subject: [PW!] Into the Deep Freeze... Date: Saturday, May 01, 1999 8:43 PM **Approxiamtely 2 weeks after "Pyyrus and the Ultimate Test"* Chris yawned and stretched as he rolled out of bed. His legs were finally starting to get better and he was able to walk with no aides required. He could also run and do manual labor, meaning his legs were back to about 90%. He was definately glad that the damage had only been temporary, and he was finally back in the saddle. He'd spent the past two weeks back home at the Breedery, and was getting his affairs in order. It was time to get down to business. Pyyrus had before the Breedery exploded, set up several weird and exotic training machines. Only two survived but they were two that would be key to preperation of his team for the fight ahead. The two odevices were the Whip-O-Matic and the Deep Freeze. The Whip-O-Matic was designed to simulate Vine Whips to toughen up Pokemon that were weak to grass attacks and the Deep Freeze was an obsticale course that was kept at approxiamtely 25 degrees. Turqi and Totem, Chris' Golem he recieved for going to Pokemon Island, used the Whip-O-Matic most often. While Peaches, Aztec, and Totem used the Deep Freeze the most often. Chris had set himself up a rigerous training scheduale for all of his Pokemon since he returned in hopes that they would soon be ready to face the Elite Four. His 8 hour a day traing regiment of sparring, running, and target practice payed off wonderfully. In the two week time frame he had set up from his return he hoped to have Turqi evolved into Blastoise, and to have Aztec and Peaches able to sustain over 30 minutes in tempratures below freezing. He got on the other hand was a very broad selection of Pokemon to use, all hopefully strong enough to withstand the rigers of combat. Turqi did evolve into Blastoise after about a week of heavy duty training....he had seen more simulated combat in a week then real combat in his entire life. Sigfried, the long forgotten Abra, finally evolved as well into Kadabra gving Chris a badly needed boost in the Psychic area. Aztec also took the evolutionary plunge, adding her wide array of attacks and resistances to the fray. Last but not least was the return of the only surviving member of Chris' orginal team, Pyro the Charizard refreshed from weeks of relaxation. **Back to Chris, standing up by the window, after this whole though speal went thorugh his head** Chris starred out into the dawn of this day. He would leave the Breedery in a few hours, heading up for his postponed date with destiny. A day so long awaited would finally come to be. When out of background came that every so annoying voice of Eddy, his Step Uncle from Fuschia City. "HEY SLUGHEAD!" Eddy cried. "Why am I not surprised you old piece of scum? What brings you out this way?" Chris asked trying to not be annoyed. "Well remember that big shipment of TMs you ordered from my contact but the Breedery burned before I could deliver them?" Eddy said. "Yeah, I remember and this brings you out....why?" Chris asked inquisitively. "Well they finally came! 300 TMs! " Eddy said a little proud of himself. "Thanks...a little late but I can probably find a few uses for them." Chris said taking the box that Eddy had brought in with him. Eddy then said his goodbyes and left There wasen't all that much that Chris could use, but he did find a few. A pair of Body Slam TMs were all that Chris used for now, giving them to Aztec and Turqi. He also used a Dig TM on Pyro to give him a badly needed edge in the upcoming battle. Looked at his watch to see that he was planning to leave in about 15 minutes...he recalled his team and preppared to head off to Indigo Plateau. (OOC: I know I probably have some people completely lost with my Continuum right now, so let me just do a little patch up. Chris got shocked on Pokemon Island, was out cold for a week, woke up on Cinnibar Island and went home. About a week later he took the admission test(Pyyrus and the Ultimate Test), and this last post covered about 2 weeks. Also, Pokemon battles don't last bery long so picture a Pokemon Boot Camp for his Pokemon that is why they evolved so quick and in one post. Also this post covers two weeks so it is not power gaming with the evolving. About all I have to say.) -Chris Pyyrus **************** High Priest of the Garfield Syndicate ****************************************** Garfield is no cat! He's a new Pokemon species!
