[Is he dead?] Charmy asked.
[I don't think so. Look, he's still twitching,] Sandshrew said.
[What should we do?]
[I don't know, I don't think a snake bite is supposed to do that much damage…]
Charmy and Sandshrew stood next to Oz, who was in a loose fetal-position on the
ground, unconscious. Their problem was, they didn't know what to do about it.
[Well, if it's any encouragement, he has survive worst. Like, this one time
Ozzie had this Gameboy thing, and his mom just happened to be cooking on the
stove at the same time he was wandering around the house playing it when-]
[No! No! He's going to die, and it's all my fault!]
[Charmy, it is not your fault! If it weren't for you and that Dig technique
your previous trainer taught you, Ozzie'd really be dead by now.] Charmy simply
looked at Oz and sighed sadly. Oz's twitching seemed to get more frequent every
minute, but they didn't know whether that was a good thing, or bad. [And if
that stupid, Charmander doesn't go away soon,] Sandshrew continued. [I just may
have to hurt him as bad as Ozzie here...]
Looking up, Charmy spotted the pesky, skin color-changing Charmander still
watching them. Why did it keep following them? Wasn't it enough for it that Oz
was probably in a very critical, near death situation? Sandshrew stuck it's
tongue out at the Charmander and turned back to Oz, who's twitching was getting
more incessant. Sandshrew frowned. If this pace kept up, pretty soon Oz's
entire body would racked by the steadily increasing tremors. And if that
happened then-
Sandshrew's train of thought was interrupted abruptly as Oz's eyelids snapped
open. His eyes were large, confused...panicked, flitting around relentlessly,
in a very psychotic pattern. He blinked again before yelling loudly, "Who am I?
WHERE AM I?!"
Grabbing Sandshrew by the skin on his neck, and pulling him closer, he still
kept his wide-eyed psychopathic look. He slowly stood up, letting Sandshrew's
body dangle as he talked to Sandshrew in a low, harsh hiss, "God? What about
God? Did God make me?"
Stunned, Sandshrew simply shook his head.
"NOOOOOO!!!" Oz screamed as he threw Sandshrew aside and threw his arms up in
rage. Oz's eyes seemed to take on a slight bluish tint, as they came down to
rest upon the strange, chameleon-like Charmander. He seethed with rage, and
screamed, "DIIIE, MEEEW!!!"
Before the Charmander could even think about moving, Oz sprinted forwards,
jumping into the air and performing a huge belly flop onto the unfortunate
Charmander. With a small yelp, it immediately fainted, and Oz became limp
again.
A full minute passed before anybody moved again. Sandshrew picked himself up
from the ground and looked around. Rather less used to such oddness from his
trainers as Sandshrew, Charmy stood, frozen in the exact same spot where he had
been at first. Walking over to Oz's backpack, Sandshrew pulled out a Pokéball
and captured the fainted Charmander in it. [There, he won't bother us anymore,]
Sandshrew stated smugly as he spun the Pokéball skillfully on one claw.
Charmy shook himself slightly, and then walked forward to join Sandshrew.
[What about Oz?]
[Yeah, kind of a pity we couldn't catch _him_ in a Pokéball, eh?]
[No! What I meant is, err...is he...?]
[What? Oh, oh, that! Yes, right.] Sandshrew checked Oz's pulse, [Yep, he's
still alive. We should probably get him off of this island and to a hospital,
though.]
They both grabbed hold of the limp body, and started to drag him to the
vehicle, which Sandshrew hoped was still in working condition.
[So, was Ozzie, umm...delirious?]
[Isn't he always?] Sandshrew groaned.
TBC?

Why, yes, I am feeling slightly odd today...
