From: Rebecca Cherish <cherishp@alltel.net> Subject: [PW] New Pokemon Date: Tuesday, May 04, 1999 6:27 PM IC: PT: The day was again fresh, and Amile awoke, with two rocket members staring at her. "Aaah!" She screamed, startled, backing up against a tree stump. "Oh, it's just you. Sorry Jisa, Kane." she said weakly. Jisa snickered. "Now that your out of that pathetic little city we'll be seeing more of each other." she said. Kane then elbowed Jisa. "Ah-hem." he said, trying to remind her. "Huh? Oh yes, I almost forgot." Jisa leaped to the stump, followed by her partner, Kane. "To protect the world from devistation." she started. "To unite all peoples within our nation." he continued. "To denounce the evils of our true love!" "To extend our reign to the stars above." "Jisa." "Kane" "Team Rocket, following the Brightest light." "Give up now, you've no will to fight." Amile tried to hold back a smile. "What's it like to always say that. Kane looked back at her and smiled. A smile that sort of made her 'uneasy' not an evil smile... The other kind. "It's quite... fun." he admitted. Jisa just looked at her. "Okay runt, here's the deal: We help you learn how to train better, and you catch, or steal, us rare and unusual pokemon!" Amile sighed. The deal sounded tempting. Kane gave her that smile again. "Are you in?" he inquired. Amile, lifting her head again, nodded solemnly, grabbing Kane's hand. "I'm in." she said roughly. "Good." Jisa said, amazed at Amile's 'spunk' "Take this," she tossed a black shirt, that had an "R" on the shoulder. Not noticible enough by other people, but it'd let her into rocket headquarters. She was a part of the famous team rocket, now. Even though they were supposedly 'the bad guys' she felt a strong pride inside. "My first lesson?" she demanded. Jisa nodded. "Tomarrow, Amile. For now, you attempt training. We'll be back." Jisa tossed a pokeball into the air, and out popped a Pidgeot. She held on to it's crest feathers. "We'll be back! Pidgeot, fly me back to headquarters!" Jisa commanded. "What about me?" Kane demanded, but looked back at Amile. Amile crept slowly away from him, and he nodded. "Oh yes, Rapidash! Let's go!" He mounted the Rapidash, and the two were quickly on their way. /he likes fire pokemon, too?/ Amile thought rather dreamily. She'd realized that she may have considered Kane... cute? Nah. Okay, a little. She flopped down on a rock. "Okay... Alot" she admitted out loud. A pokemon emerged from the bushes. "Charmander, it's your turn now." she emitted perfectly, and charmander emerged, for the first time, from his pokeball. "Charmander, Ember!" The charmander did as commanded, spinning wildly as the flames burnt the small Caterpie. "Pokeball, go!" She shouted, thrusting the red and white ball forth. It landed on the Caterpie's head, engulfing it in a blinding red light, and then it was gone, and the pokeball was shaking. Once... (wigglewiggle) Twice...(wigglewiggle) and... Yes! /We caught a caterpie!/ she thought to herself, dancing happily around. She hugged the charmander. "Charrrrrrrr." it 'purred' ************* "Charmander, Ember attack!" she called. The charmaner spun various times, the flames burning the pokemon to a crisp. Again, she repeated the pokeball routine. The weedle in front of her was engulfed by the blinding light. And the pokeaball shook. Once. Then the Weedle was caught. Amile's eyes lit up. "Two Pokemon in one day!" she exclaimed. She thought that Two would be all she was going to catch this day, but she'd soon find out she was wrong. *************** "Pika-Pika! Pik CHUUUUUUU" yelled a wild pikachu. Electricity sprung from it, engulfing the scene in it's brilliance. Charmander held his hands over his head. "Charmanaarrrr Charmaaaaan!" he yelled. "Charmander, scratch!" The charmander gained a bit of speed, and rushed over. He dug his claws furiously into the Pikachu. "CHAAAAAA!" it yelled. "Pika-pik chu.." "Charmander, ember!" The charmander swung around, but fell over, exhausted. Luckily, it seemed to be just enough to capture the pikachu. Amile tossed out a pokeball. It hit the pikachu on the head. The bright light engulfed the scene and it began to shake. Once, twice, thrice, and what??? Pikachu leaped out of the pokeball. His amazing thundershock power. Again she used the pokeball. This time, Pikachu had no other choice but to submit. In the excitement, he was caught. Amile lifted charmander up, and held him like he was her baby. "Hang on, little Charmander." she said quietly. "The pokecenter is about..." Amile looked over at a sign near a large tree. "Only three miles off. It will be soon. Then she saw another sign, pointing to a shortcut. Nodding to the charmander, she followed it. It was dark. Too dark to see almost. But she followed.. "Zuuuu-bat zubat!" Amile heard, spinning around. Fearfully, she picked up her pacing, walking faster, hoping that soon she would be out of here. Then something bumped her. Amile fell over. "Aah!" she yelled. turning back, she looked into the gleaming eyes of another pokemon. "SHW!!!" it yelled, concerned for her. "Shw Shw.. Shrrrrrrrrrrrw?" Amile smiled to the little thing and patted it on the head. "I'm fine, little guy... but a little scared." Charmander's tale lit the way on the path, but she could still hear strange noises. One even sounded like something was following her. A,o;e disregarded it. And then she saw a light. Charmander, who had barely any strength, lept from her arms and dashed towards the light. Amile did as well, forgetting the noise that was following her completely. She burst into the light, jumping, and holding her charmander close. Seeming to gain alot of energy, Amile and the charmander rolled down a hill. Pewter was a while off... But Amile could see the gym in the distance. Suddenly, she turned back. The sandshrew! She smiled at it. "Not without a battle." she said, eager. The sandshrew nodded. It was a splendid battle, the talented sandshrew used his dig attack many times, but Amile's charmander was able to evade every attack. When sandshrew finally gave up, it lept into Amile's arms, and she felt wanted. Charmander looked back at Amile, smiling. Suddenly, it grew in a white light. Taller, taller, more extensive to the total. "Char, Char... me....." it said and walked to Amile and Sandshrew, Surely they would beat Brock. She nodded, and started out through the field. "Let's go, Charmeleon." she said calmly. OOC: I'm making my way slowly to Cerulean. Does everyone like so far? *grins* ~~Amile
