"That was a really nice landing, Firecrest," she said, sarcasm dripping from her voice the way water was dripping from her uniform. "We must have more like it." Firecrest pulled his head out of the water and gave Crystal a truly pitiful look. "Char," he said meekly, his wings drooping. Crystal sighed and starting wringing out her tail. "At least we're not in the middle of nowhere." She paused. "Uh, we aren't, are we?" Firecrest looked around and shook his head. "Char. Charizard char char!" "Cinnabar Island, huh? Nothing special, I guess, but hey, it's better than being stranded. I'll buy some supplies here, and then we can fly back out to the mainland--huh?" Firecrest was shaking his head and pointed to a wing. "Char. Charizard." Crystal moved a little closer to her first Pokemon and winced, feeling a pain-emotion from him. "Your wing's broken, isn't it? And Whirlpool can't and won't carry me in the water... I guess we'll have to rent a boat." "Char," Firecrest said in a very small voice. Crystal sighed and leaned against him, hoping the fire dragon's heat would help dry her fur. "Okay, I rephrase that. I'll have to rent a boat, you stay safe in your Pokeball away from all that water. Okay?" "Charizard char," Firecrest agreed happily. Crystal grinned and opened the pack she had tied to his back, digging out a trenchcoat and putting it on, buttoning it so that it concealed the Rocket uniform.
