From: Dreadite <blorch@ix.netcom.com> Subject: [PW!] One good turn? Shine. (Attn: AznPikaPi!) Date: Friday, May 14, 1999 3:03 AM (A word of warning.. Corynn asked me a while back to kill off her character. So this'll be a little bit... unplesent. The usual. =P Oh, and AznPikaPi... interaction, prehaps? ^_^) P:OTP.. Dreadite and Maria left the bottle. Also, a while back, everyone lost track of Karasu. Corynn left the NG.. oh, well. ^^;;; *****And now.. the story!***** The day dimmed for a second as the sun passed behind a cloud. The blue sky was bright, and the birds were out, calling and chirping. Karasu sat down at the foot of Mt. Moon, and spread out a picnic basket on the ground. "Okay. Come out, you two!" She pressed open two Pokéballs, and her Gengar and Spearow appeared. The Gengar slid into the shadows of the trees, and smiled. It laughed, and sat down in the grass. Goofing around, it sank into the ground. The Spearow just hopped to the basket, and waited. Karasu spread out the lunch on the ground, and leaned back. "Sometimes, a little rest is all you need." <Scene Switch!> Dreadite folded the hood of his robe over his head, and set off towards Cerulean. He and Maria glanced at the bottle, which closed up behind Dreadite. Dreadite's pidgey cheeped, and he stopped to pet it. "Now.. hungry, are we? It's a short way to Cerulean. You can wait, little one." Maria shrugged as Dreadite tended to his Pidgey. She glanced at him, waiting. "Are we going? Or are you gonna just stand there." Dreadite stood up, and started Walking again. His Pidgey landed on his shoulder, and screeched. Maria just stuck her hands in her coat pockets, and walked. "Weird.." Dreadite pulled a datacard out of his robe. He held it up, and pressed a button. A mechanical voice spoke up. "Pidgey learned Fly. Teach Fly to another Pokémon?" Dreadite turned the card off, and pocketed it. "A bird has to learn to fly eventually. It leaves the nest, and it flies." "Yeah.. but that's still a little young, don't you think?" Maria kept walking as Dreadite shrugged. "They're stronger when they're trained young." Dreadite glanced over at Maria, then looked at the trail ahead. He smiled. "The way to skill comes with knowledge." Dreadite's eyes flashed for a second. The Pidgey glared around, and Dreadite paused. In front of them was a person taking a rest, picnic all set up. Dreadite smiled, and walked over. "Spare a morsel for a holy man, little one?" Karasu looked up. "What? You don't look particularly holy." She glanced at Dreadite suspiciously. "What're you doing so far up here?" Dreadite smirked. "Ah, you got me." He threw back the hood, and laughed. "Darkness swallows up the light, yet the light continues to fight. That's right, it's Dreadite." "Ah. A Rocket, eh?" Karasu shrugged, and kept eating. "Not exactly holy material." "You would have no idea." Dreadite sat down, unfolding his wings. Karasu turned to face him, and her eyes widened when she saw wings spread out from Dreadite's back. She got up, and stepped back. "Who, or should I say what.. are you? What do you want?" Maria stepped back as Dreadite stood up. He lept up, and glanced down at Karasu. "I am the darkness." Dreadite stepped forward. Karasu sighed. "Very nice. That's such a big help. Why, I could figure the meaning of life from that," she said with sarcasm practically dripping off her tounge. She folded her arms, and smirked. "What do you want, anyhow?" Dreadite drew his sword, and blinked. He lept forward, slashing at Karasu. She dodged to the side, and swore. "What the hell! What're you.." Dreadite smirked as he faced Karasu again. "I must deal with all of you in time. Your time has come." He lept to the side, and slammed Karasu backwards into a tree. Her Spearow screeched, and flew to find the Gengar. Dreadite walked over to her, and smirked. "This life.. all life.. ends eventually." "You're delusional!" Karasu managed to get up onto her knees, and glared. Dreadite smirked, and stepped forward. "And now..." Dreadite lept into the air, and floated there, flapping for a second. Then, he pove down, driving the sword home. The wind blew a gust of leaves into the trees, leaving only a memory of what was once a life. Dreadite stood up, holding a Pokéball. "Shine." Maria dashed after Dreadite, who walked off. She paused, and bent down to grab something. "Hm.. four Pokéballs? Could be a good haul." Maria picked up Karasu's belt, and walked after Dreadite. They walked towards Cerulean City, like nothing had happened. Dreadite glanced at two figures in the distance, and smiled. He walked towards them, folding his wings behind his body. Wind glanced at the oncoming Rockets, and sighed. TBC? (Anyone? I dunno.. I think this post lacked something. >_<) Dreadite (Woo!
